TEHRAN, March 28--Alalam TV obtained a video that shows a British servicewoman and a group of arrested British soldiers confess their illegal entrance into Iranian territorial waters in the Persian Gulf.

British marine Mrs. Faye Turney from F99 Royal Navy on Wednesday admitted entry into Iranian territorial waters and apologized for doing so.

Turney, who is going to be freed soon, said that Iranian coast guards treated them friendly and with hospitality.

Faye Turney, in a letter sent to her family expressed regret for the violation of Iranian territorial waters, adding that they have well treated by the Iranians.

"My name is Faye Turney. I come from England; I live in England at present. I have served on F99. I have served in Navy nine years; I was arrested on Friday on 23rd of March for entering iranian internal waters.

"We were treated friendly and they explained to us why we've been arrested, and there was no aggression, no hurt, no harm, they were very compassionate," she said in an interview.

"I want you all to know that I am well and safe. I am being well looked after," she added.

She remarked that the people were friendly and hospitable, very compassionate and warm. I have written a letter to the Iranian people to apologize for us entering into their waters.

An Iranian foreign ministry official handed over the letter to British Ambassador to Tehran Jeffrey Adams on Wednesday.

Iran announced that she will be freed soon.

"Iran will free a detained female British sailor on Wednesday or Thursday," Iran's foreign minister Muhammad Ali Hosseini said in a telephone statement to Alalam TV On Wednesday.

Britain said it was freezing talks on all other issues with Iran until it freed 15 Royal Navy crew members arrested last week.

Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan expected positive development in the case of the British sailors detained by Iran in the Persian Gulf as saying that Turkish diplomats may be allowed to visit the 15 British sailors and marines who were arrested by Iranian Revolutionary Guards last Friday.

15 British marines, who had violated Iranian territorial waters in the Persian Gulf, were arrested on Friday on 23rd of March.
