Hey folks,

Just been scanning the forums (as you do) and noticed alot of stuff about anti-freemasons (after the freemason forum thread) and bickering between users and freemasons.

Firstly, I'd like to welcome them here! :) Good to see some different minds willing to share their views, even if we all don't agree, its very healthy for the forum to have different perspectives and good for topical discussion.

However, I noticed some really nasty remarks directed at some of the new guys, which I don't think is wholely fair. I think we have to remember that just because someone is part of soemthing you don't agree with, doesn't give you the right slaunder them and disrespect thier right to their own view. I think I read something of the like to distrust them and they are liars.Well, how do you know? Why is it not possible that they are telling the truth as they see it, just as you are? We are not going to uncover any new information by turning discussions into slagging matches. I think we all have something to offer each other, no matter what position you are in life.

Be tolerant to others beliefs, just like they would expect them to be toward you. If we dont? Well, this forum will reflect our attitudes, tolerant to similar minds, not to people who have different. Is that where we want this forum to be or do we want it to be a vibrant place for discussion?

Cxx

P.S. Having read the Freemasons thread in their forum about Icke, I can see very similar attitudes on here as there was to the user Sheeple on there, however, I don't think sheeple conduction him/herself in the most articulate manner and was very defensive and could have been seen as being rude, unlike Mike Martin (who I assume is a mod) who seemed quite respectful and articulate in his responses. Not to take sides as I am not a freemason supporter, infact always been against secret societies from a young age, but this does not reflect well on this website and the people who use it.

Peace.

Great post, and thanks. People with intelligence can disagree, but still be able to debate respectfully and logically. Only the less-than-intelligent have to resort to pettiness and name-calling, and such arguments really produce no fruit at all. Everyone has a story, and everyone is capable of learning from everyone else; it just takes letting go of bigotry and trying to understand the other side.

Thanks you! The real irony is, if you actually listen to what alot of these guys in the conspiracy field are truely saying, it isn't far from your post. But human being humans, instead of people with a story, they become guru's/savours not to be disagreed with. Only when you truely listen to people's stories will you realise that is what they are, stories to help expand the mind and realise the truth of infinite possibility. When you start to hold other people's opinions higher than your own, then you start blocking off other possibilities and create a belief system ie. Icke/etc. become a religion.

This is both very unhealthy and, if true to their message, what these 'guru's' would not want. Their message is fairly simple and to use your words, 'Letting Go'. Letting go of yourself, your beliefs, your ego, emotions, etc. If this is done, no body else's belief system could damage you in any way shape or form because you do not have a belief system to shatter. People who are upset or defensive about others talking about their 'guru's' in bad terms have usually travelled too far to the other side of coin. remain centred at all times. People make sweeping generalisations about everything, not just icke/etc. without full knowledge, so when there is the opportunity to discuss your own knowldge, don't waste it defending other peoples opinions.

Peacexx
