I have felt a bit frustrated and sour today, but I discovered a technique that efficiently can deal with that negative kind of state. I found that the bottom reason for the frustration always is some kind of helplessness. That's pretty obvious once one looks at it, but the mind tricks itself to go into states like anger and other ways in order to try to escape the (often disguised) sense of helplessness.
It's completely stupid to spend more effort, time and energy on helplessness than a few seconds of problem-solving. If the problem cannot be solved immediately, and it doesn't feel comfortable or interesting to continue trying to solve it, then the best thing is to relax the sense of helplessness, to just just friggin' drop it! Then frustration can no longer build up since the very root of it has been dissolved.
