After a couple of bears me and a freind got talking about these so called Terrorist's.
Terrorist masterminds at work........ yeah right.

Be honest if you were a Terrorist would you blow yourself up on the road side or on a bus knowing what ever damage you did would quicky be brushed up and things would continue : /

it dawned on us has we came back along the main road peering out of the window and seeing the power stands and lines, now these babies carry all the power i,m sure to the north, wouldn't you cause avork and mayhem to take just one of these out, it would take days to get back up, meanwhile a lot of people are going in sane without electric,no lights no heat no tv even no fuel for the cars, no electric no pumps working, that would be total disruption would it not be?
wouldn't people then stop and ask why this has been done and look at the Terrorist's cause instead of " yeah dam Terrorist has blew another bus up"
any other ideas?

Granny i don't think you understand, this was never about them usual tactics like in a war it's all about religion. They believe that if they blow themselves up theres like 72 virgins waiting for them in heaven. The point being they never did this to cause havoc but as a religious statement and extreme one but one non the less.

True it's not that simple though it would be bad, you forget people also have backup generators and such it won't happen that fast. leave people without electricity for half a year and ya most people who don't know what to do are going back to the animalistic instincts.

Yes but new orleans also had several other factors, flooding being a major one look at the blackout up here in toronto a few years back, I think it was out for two days all power on the grid and no one went feral or broke into anything.

hmmm couldn't remember I was rather young when it happened anyway the point is, with a lot of factors a city can go feral fast but with just the lose of electricity it'll take at least a week imo anyway.
