I heard on the Alex Jones show that the Chinese army has killed a lot of people in Tibet.
Is it time to boycott the China Olympics? I usually love to watch the Olympics, but maybe watching a bunch of dope heads struggling around some arenas can be skipped.
On the other hand it's important that China can improve their goodwill, but if the Chinese government are such bastards I don't know if I want to support them.

CNN are repeating the Chinese version of events as if it was fact, they are saying Tibetans are on the rampage killing Chinese and burning their property and the Chinese army is only trying to "restore order".

Alex Jones interviewed a representative for the Tibetans who gave another version. If the CNN version turns out to be false, then that could vastly hurt their credibility.

Heh. :D One strange thing is that Alex Jones didn't mention the Chinese version (unless I missed that part). Mr. Jones did however comment on 80 people killed (according to mainstream media) compared to 55 confirmed dead as the Tibetan representative said. Jones said that the mainstream media probably was faster at getting the correct information or something like that. Hmm... When I think about it, that was a bit of a strange comment by Alex.

Alex Jones has a suspiciously high respect for mainstream media.
BUT the Alex Jones show is often magnitudes better than ordinary media.
There is larger than zero chance that the Alex Jones show is controlled opposition, so when I listen to it I try to have that in mind.

I did a web search and found this quote from John Titor:
"Sports are still enjoyed just as they are today. The Olympics are no longer played though due to various conflicts. The last Olympic Games took place in 2004 and may resume in 2040."
I doubt that he will be right about that.
But I feel that the Olympics has lost some of its previous importance.

Heard tonight that there is a "movement " called "team Darfur", which has about 400 atheletes world wide which , I dont Know really if they want to boycott, but could be like Moscow in the 80's or just to send a message to China. They are protesting the vilolent suppression of the Tibetian people.
Anyway, Russia and Serbia, recently said that the "independence" of Kosovo was "bad" and could/would cause other principalities/occupied territories to push for independence. This could and probably is an organised push for such at a crucial time for China ie Olympics.
Russia or Serbia would not be behind this, but maybe they hit the nail on the head.
Anyway, I dont trust "team Darfur". Most atheletes dont get involved unless a govt is involved. Moscow, Los Angeles, South Africa with cricket etc.....Most athletes, after years of training, say they know nothing about politics...they just want to compete.
Could we see more of this "team" and others prior to the olympics??. Maybe boycotts could be coming from the west. There could be..... even "green groups" or the nutty " global warmers" could get involved.
Lets watch and see.

Another thing the organizers of the Olympics must fear is that the audience will boycott the Olympics. What if people refused or didn't bother to watch it?
That would be the mother of all boycotts. :D

Don't forget the rather "prophetic" nature of the Project for the New American Century.
It's a cause for concern as to what may happen at the next Olympics while it's held in China.
and how significant is this, taking into account the olympics AND the recent tactics in Tibet which stepped up...oh....around about the same time?

It could be the the Chinese leaders are trying to become more civilized, not least because they have to build up a goodwill which is becoming more and more important in the business world, but it could also be that they are still as evil as before and only are trying to put on a good facade.
