If this is true --and it seems to be!-- then you guys gotta check it out. It's posted in the news room, but I bring it here so it gets more hits, as it deserves.
I've copied and pasted the recipe at the bottom of the thread.

Daaamn, Lazy. I meant the bottom of the OTHER thread. ^_^
The treatment is a combination of pure, 100% maple syrup [bulk Grade B from the health food store] and baking soda and was first reported on the Cancer Tutor site. When mixed and heated together, the maple syrup and baking soda bind together. The maple syrup targets cancer cells (which consume 15 times more glucose than normal cells) and the baking soda, which is dragged into the cancer cell by the maple syrup, being very alkaline forces a rapid shift in pH killing the cell.
The actual formula is to mix one part baking soda with three parts (pure, 100%) maple syrup in a small saucepan. Stir briskly and heat the mixture for 5 minutes. Take one teaspoon daily is what is suggested by Cancer Tutor but one could probably do this several times a day."

You left out the factor of the entire digestion process, which would break apart any "binding" that took place between the syrup and the baking soda. Not to mention that digestion would also break down the syrup and the baking soda into its essential elements....that's kinda what the digestive system is for.

Okay, so how do you explain cheyenne pepper which acts as a catalyst for other herbs/spices?
It was just a guess. Bottom line is that if I had cancer, I would try it for sure. You got nothing to lose. And if it works, I doubt it's just a placebo effect.

I'm not even sure what you mean by that or if Cayenne pepper does anything of the sort. However, if it does, it's likely caused by the active ingredient it contains, Capsaicin. Your body breaks down the pepper that you swallow and absorbs the capsaicin through the process of digestion. I'm honestly at a loss for words at your inability to understand this. I mean, it's not like when you eat a pizza, you then have little particles of pizza floating around your blood stream.
I don't know how you were educated or where you get this folklore hoo-doo bullshit from, but you need to at least learn the basics of biology and anatomy before you start spouting this nonsense.

I wasn't spouting anything, just brain-storming. I'm into herbs, diet, and the conspiracy in relation to human health, but not much into biology or anatomy.
