I found this recently. "twelve signs of awakening". It's a list of "symptoms" of the awakening divine within us. I want to point out a certain section.

Yes, I know it's been floating around in different forms on the net for a while. I can't even figure out who originally wrote it because no one gives credit to any consistently, and several take credit.

12. A deep longing to go Home. This is perhaps the most difficult and challenging of any of the conditions. You may experience a deep and overwhelming desire to leave the planet and return Home. The root cause for this is quite simple. You are at the end of your karmic cycles. You are completing your contract for this lifetime. You are ready to begin a new lifetime while still in this physical body. Spirit needs you here to help others transition into the new energy. They will need a human guide, just like you, who has taken the journey from the old energy into the new. The path you're walking right now provides the experiences to enable you to become a Teacher of the New Divine Human. So be patient as you continue growing, learning, sharing and meeting the challenges of this Journey to the heart…I think he's wrong. I think he's being used as a disinfo channel. Jesus said something in a parable once, and I think it applies generally. "They have Moses and the Propohets, let them listen to them" "If they will not listen to Moses and the Prophets, they will not believe even if one should rise from the dead"

Now, I am not going back to xianity, but what I mean by quoting this is that there is plenty of enlightening material and teachings out there for anyone who is interested.

Back to the excerpt: If you really want to go home, I think that is what you should do. I know that for me, that is my goal. I'm getting off the merry go round. Screw it. Humanity has always and always will pay too little attention to the voice of sanity, so screw 'em. Let them listen to Buddha. Let them listen to Krishna. Let them listen to Jesus. Hah. They have had his words (although rather adulterated) for 2000 years, and the best they can come up with is YET ANOTHER hierarchical system of lordship. I live in it.

Yes I live in the place where the cream of the human collective crop live. The place where the aggregate of wills is most turned toward doing good unto others. BUT IT'S STILL JUST A SHAM! Because it's still based on "I'm the ruler and you're the ruled". They try to paint a pretty picture of it, saying that "true ruling is caring for the needs of others" but this ruling extends into eternity, where everything has been made perfect. WHAT NEEDS?!? What will anyone lack in the perfect future? Screw it! I'm not an oligarch and NO ONE can force me to become one!

If I sound angry it's because I am. I have spent the last 8.5 years of my life, literally my BEST years, and only to find out that this group is really bent on oligarchy and hegemony.

Sorry for venting on you all, but I'm just a little disappointed. One good thing I learned here is how to be social. But if I had gone to the Hopi reservation and sought out the elders like my inner voice was trying to tell me, I would have learned there as well.

Just remember... if you harbor a shadow of the thought, "I'm better than..." then you are still in that system. I do, and it is a woeful struggle to let it go. I am having to turn to rather drastic measures to rid myself of it. But at last I shall be rid of that unclean thing, and its fangs will never again suck the life from me!

Hey Seamus....

Good evening :)

I personally think who ever said that was right.........A long time ago, I felt as you did..... regarding this..... But now I see..... I feel honoured (spelling?) that I am still in human form and can do so much...... I feel like I have been given a certain pass, ermmm not sure if you know what I mean... but I know.... that as a human form, I am able to reach people, because they see by my actions and what I say and do that I am right... no right isn't what I mean... errmmm... that I am saying stuff that makes them think differently and look more deeply at what is happening.... oh heck I dunknow.... But I feel so honoured to be able to share what I know with others who would - not meeting me - just carry on doing what they do with out another thought... I can give them that other thought, if you know what I mean.....? We all have the oppertunity to share with others, who knows what we say will bring about any or no awakening... but as long as we know we are sharing the truth...... thats all that matters....

To be free of religion and constraints is wonderful..... doesn't mean we are any more special than the other person, jut that we have had the chance to aquire knowledge and knowing, more than they have.... and in doing so, if we are here and now.... IMHO it is our duty to share as and when we can........

Love you Seamus... your a great guy...... Thank you for sharing this with us all....

Heh heh heh... touché!

I only recognized it as probably gaelic because of the wacked spelling. :p

I was kind of *wishing* it were elvish.

GOD I love hearing lady Arwen (in the movie) calling the river in elvish. It does something to me. Kinda like what Bjork's voice does (yes I'm admitting my weakness in front of all of you). Very similar, they are, Icelandic and elvish...
