Unfortunately the rebel phase is natural and nothing revolutionary at all. It pops up again later in life and is then called midlife crisis.

What it is, is basically the need to break out of whatever norm one is in, in order to find an identity. The first step is becoming anti-everything accepted, the second is wanting to become famous playing in a band so everybody can see how original they are singing about how they want the world to be in their own image, and the third is facing reality when the bills start piling up by the door.

Some people make a career out of being so called outsiders. Nowadays we call them famous historical figures as they are part of mainstream education to know all about.

Very few people are original these days. Even fewer have original thoughts. Original is not 'critical'.

Growing up means breaking away from parents and old familiar ways/local cultural expression; nothing original about it, but very important.

The ego likes to point the finger at others who are inferior in certain ways, so that their own ego is inflated. People say mean things when they are identified with the ego strongly, and in these cases they can't step outside the box and see what they're doing. The world is mad.

The thing is, they don't know the other side of the story. They have not been exposed to some of the stuff that would show them more of what's going on. The only reason why some of us have discovered what we have is because of life circumstances.

Besides, I really don't think that we ourselves still really know what's going on. We may think that we are closer to the truth, but who knows, maybe we are farther away from it. Right now, I think that we should be careful on how much we judge each other and ourselves.

I was again being sarcastic..I love kids..I happen to be a former child myself..I try and reach them when coaching and volunteering..But it has to start with the parents..and where I live the parents are on there fucking cell phones when there kid are in the game..And the little brothers on the sidelines are staring at a
hand held device or some sort..Disconnected and further disconnected which translates into harder to reach with any info of value..

RE: the youth of today, just today a young nineteen year old in my block of flats was evicted by the religiously driven wardens, this guy has no job, no qualifications no prospects etc, much like the rest of the underpriviledged youth.

He was in reciept of benefits but in the past few weeks his claim was suspended because he couldn't make it to a new deal course in Crawley, to make ends meet and to literally get money to eat he took a bunch of herb on credit to sell and make a small profit to tide him by.

After being raided at 9am this young man was given 48 hours to pack up and get out, his cannabbis was confiscated at a severe cost to himself and his dealer and disposed of while the religiously driven staff, wander around content and happy on the knowledge this lost soul has an even taller mountain to climb to get out of the cycle of poverty.

Now homeless he will have no entitlement to benefits nor will he be able to gain employment and will most probably have to seek work on the black market or even just robbery to eat now, the "responsible adults", all "christians", who kicked him out on the street, needn't have been so hardline, they have now chucked this poor lad down the mountain side to snowball....

On a interesting note, this young man who had cannabbbis faces the same punishment as a person caught using HEROIN within the block.

When you live alongside the seriously underprivelidged youth, it's easy to see there is no future.

I was Homeless but still claimed benefits on no fixed abode, this was about 8 years ago so has the law changed?

Oh maybe he will then, i get so sick of peoples attitudes towards the youth, yeah they may be unruly etcetera, but the reasons many get into dealing drugs etc is because they come out of school and have been totally let down, they either conform and break their balls to stay above the poverty line or they go the darker route.
