Ok This is how I post a picture, there may be easier ways, but I'll explain how I do it..sound difficult ?? Its not ..it's easy and quick really.
Pictures say many words, I had trouble once..and didn't have a clue..and went on not having a clue for ages...Till I asked MetalTiger (Bless) From the old Forum

But the method is different here is easy enough(MAYBE PRINT THIS.IF ITS HELPFUL FOR YOU)

OK-First open up two browsers, one for the forum and another for your searching.
You want to reply to a thread or create a new thread with images from an external link)
Use your browser to find a site that has the image yo want.
Put your mouse over the image you want to post and RIGHT click on it.
A pop up box is visible now,at the bottom of this grey box is "properties" OK
LEFT click on "properties" And a new bow appears called "ELEMENT PROPERTIES" In that box there, at the top you will see LOCATION.
It read http://www. whatever OK Then get your arrow right up close to LOCATION, till it turns ti an "I" shape or I beam.
Then LEFT CLICK and HOLD THE BUTTON DOEN and DRAG IT ACROSS THE LOCATION,,to HIGHLIGHT IT in blue OK,Make sure you drag the whole link out..totally so ALL is highlighted.
Then RIGHT click...another box pops up (a grey box) COPY appears as an option yes ? LEFT CLICK on COPY, OK
Now go back to the forum ..in the other window OK.(The mouse is still carrying the image) so don't worry about taking your hand off the mouse now.
Then in the REPLY or New thread BOX...where you want the image to appear (DONT PASTE YET) The BIG WHITE AREA..LEFT CLICK where you want the image to appear OK.
Now..In the control panel, of the screen you are now in...there is LITTLE YELLOW BOX..(looks like 2 pyramids and a sun on a yellow background..its underneath the re-do arrow)
LEFT CLICK on that...and another BLUE BOX APPEARS SAYING "PLEASE ENTER THE URL OF THE IMAGE) ok
LEFT CLICK into the white part of that box...and delete whats in there OK.
Now you should have a box with NOTHING IN IT,you are nearly done now.
RIGHT CLICK inside this box, you will then see another "box" saying PASTE (as an option) OK...Then PASTE....
Now you see the image information in your thread...a line of information OK.
The Job is now done.
Tip..Remember wherever youpaste a picture on the left....remember to put a space or two in for comments you may want to make.

You can now go to preview, and look at your efforts,,,before posting.
Give yourself a big pat on the back and shout "Wahay....I can post piccies"
