Two killed in Florida restaurant

A gunman killed one person and injured several others at a Florida restaurant before turning the gun on himself.
The incident occurred at a Wendy's outlet in West Palm Beach, in the south-east of the state.
The gunman emerged from the toilets dressed in a business suit and opened fire, eyewitnesses told local TV.
Three of the survivors were in critical condition, a Palm Beach County sheriff spokeswoman said. Two others were slightly wounded.
A woman quoted by Associated Press news agency said she had been buying petrol near the restaurant when the shooting happened.

"I just saw a lady with a little boy in her arms come running out screaming, 'Somebody's shooting!"' said Sandra Jackson.
Another woman described opening the door of the restaurant to hear the "pop pop" of gunfire and see people running.
"I really didn't think that's what it was. I thought this can't be happening," said Ashley Milton, 28.
"You see your life flash before your eyes."

A gunman has opened fire in a Florida fast food outlet, killing a man and wounding five others before killing himself.
Authorities said 60-year-old Alburn Edward Blake walked into a Wendy's outlet at lunchtime and opened fire without saying a word.
"This was not a robbery. He didn't demand anything," said Palm Beach sheriff's spokesman Paul Miller.
"Looks like this was just another random shooting like we've seen around the United States."
The shooting came hours before six people, including two children, were killed and three other children wounded in a shooting in Memphis, Tennessee.
A paramedic, who was not in uniform, was killed in the Florida shooting.
The victim and his family had left the shop, but he returned when he realised the wrong free toy had been included in his child's meal. He was shot in the back as he stood at the counter.
Police said the gunman had never worked for Wendy's, and his motive remained a mystery.
"We don't know why he picked this location to do this horrible deed," Miller said.
Blake had entered the restaurant and gone to the toilet before emerging with a handgun and opening fire.
Josh Maynard, 30, said he and his 20-year-old brother Jerry hit the floor when the gunman unleashed a volley of shots.
Jerry Maynard said Blake held his gun sideways, like you see in the movies, and said nothing.
The gunman went to the counter, Miller said, shooting the paramedic before slowly turning to his left and firing on others.
Three of the survivors were critically wounded, but all had improved and were in stable condition, police said.
The survivors include a 43-year-old man, a 16-year-old girl, a 65-year-old man and his 62-year-old wife.
When the shooting stopped, the Maynard brothers ran out of the restaurant. Josh Maynard's blue jeans were torn and his brown leather boots were sliced, damage he said was caused by a bullet that grazed him as he lay on the floor.
"It felt like somebody kicked me in the foot," he said.
One customer kicked the pistol away from the gunman after he had shot himself dead, then started first aid on the wounded, Miller said.
At least 17 people in the US have been killed in random, multiple shootings in February alone.
On February 2, five women were killed in a suburban Chicago clothing store by a lone gunman who has yet to be apprehended. Less than a week later, a gunman opened fire at a city council meeting in Kirkwood, Missouri, killing five people and injuring another.
A woman opened fire on February 8 during an emergency medical technology class at Louisiana Technical College in Baton Rouge, killing two women before killing herself.
On February 14, a former graduate student opened fire in a lecture hall at Northern Illinois University killing five people and injuring 16 others.
