It appears 'the experts' cannot decide.
E's 19th, booze 5th place.
No wonder there's a lot of confusion about the taking of illegal drugs. Who knows, we may see 'Mr Middle England' off his tits at church fete's next.

Study: Alcohol, Tobacco Worse Than Drugs
Mar 23, 3:41 AM (ET)
By MARIA CHENG
LONDON (AP) - New "landmark" research finds that alcohol and tobacco are more dangerous than some illegal drugs like marijuana or Ecstasy and should be classified as such in legal systems, according to a new British study.
The real 'experts'(those with actual knowledge as opposed to arbitrarily designated),have been saying this for many years not to mention we can all see with our own eyes what substances cause the most harm. For some 'odd' reason the ones that seem to cause the most harm are not only perfectly legal but also quite heavily advertised(and even added to our food, water, air ect...)while at the same time locking people away for 30 years for growing a plant?????
Thank god we live in a rational world huh?

I have long thought that Governments view drugs such as alcohol and tobacco as useful since they pacify the masses. For many people the drudgery of slaving for the system for the best part of their lives is alleviated by these drugs. Get drunk over the weekend and forget how crappy our lives are. Plus the fact that they hardly elevate our consciousness means they are not really considered as a threat. Therefore Government scientists always down play their effects. I would put cocaine in this category too actually. Governments appear to condemn cocaine, but I reckon they really like it, as it feeds egos which is fundamental to the efficient running of ego based capitalism and materialism.
On the other hand consciousness raising drugs are the real threat to Governments, which is why they are repeatedly classified higher than more harmful drugs (such as alcohol). In this category I would place cannabis, hallucinogenics and to a lesser degree Ecstacy. Ecstacy bonds people and that is obviously a threat to Government.

I also believe drugs like cocaine and heroin are kept illegal because if they were legal and taxed they would have to account for what they are spending the revenue on.Kept illegal they can use the profits from their trade for black ops without fear of a money/paper trail giving away the game.

People have died from the dehydration caused by Exctasy. Heroine and Cocaine at the top of the list I won't argue with. Alcohol being 5th? The only true danger of alcohol is that people underestimate it. The problem with classifying alcohol is that they should have said cigarettes. Tobacco isn't as bad as half the other shit they put in those things. You think a tobacco company funded that research?

Alcohol and tobacco interests have always been the main funders of govt. MJ 'research',these studies consistently highlight and exaggerate any negative effects.Thats it,end of study. This big business funded 'research' is,not surprisingly,in stark contrast to the vast majority of independent Research on the subject.
I did a little research on my own and my study has concluded that watching CNN/BBC causes traumatic brain damage with long term effects including but not limited to:depression, headaches, nausea, confusion, ulcers,fi ts of anger, and many times long term use results in a complete break with reality.
This study strongly suggests that CNN/BBC is a public health risk and clearly must be banned in the public interest.

Leah Betts RIP.
Probably the most famous case was a girl called Leah Betts, she did not die of "dehydration caused by Exctasy".
In fact she died of Water intoxication - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia caused by government advice to drink plenty of water while using e, to avoid dehydration.
E's did not kill her, lies and disinfo did!. :(

Barking mad! I wonder if they put some added ingredient into tobacco these days to make it more addictive(not nicotine) then they keep putting the price up. It's over £5 for a pack of twenty smokes now in the UK, about three years ago it was about £3!

Water poisoning is actually another side effect of ecstasy. There are many documented cases of E users dying of water poisoning while on E when they did not drink enough water to cause water poisoning. I could go into the details on how this happens, but I'd just bore myself.
Suffice is to say however, given the hyperactivity of people while on E, you're going to dehydrate if you don't drink water. Taking E puts you into a damned if you do, damned if you don't situation. Perhaps that's why people who sell it laugh at their customers behind their backs.

mdma is not particularly harmful or toxic if its not used to excess,I think that, like most everything else,it can be used responsibly or it can be used irresponsibly.Prescription and even over the counter corporate 'medicine' is way more toxic, and kills way more people every year, than illegal drugs ever could.I'm not advocating drug use,and definitely not drug abuse, but vilification and misinformation are a poor substitute for education.
