scientists predict "solar storm" by 2012

Scientists are predicting a burst in solar activity beginning this year and peaking somewhere in 2010-2012.
This peak is said to be comparable to one that occurred in the late 1950's.

this does sound plausible although i'd like it confirmed by someone other then nasa if possible..
