The awakening has happened gradually with me as I have for many years bombarded my mind with spiritual information so at last I can see the other side, or more correctly at last I can se the end of the brainwashing of society and feel that I know how it all fits together. Or even more correctly I can see how it all is just an illusion and have now the tools to make it fall.

Much of what Icke is talking about is very close to Buddhist wisdom and in that context you can focus on freeing yourself from the illusion more intensely, as in Zen. I really recommend the person Eckhart Tolle which you can see on youtube or google video. But when you are close to awakening you can se great wisdom in many many sources.

However the closer you get to awakening the more alien and unreal seems the constructed society you ones just accepted and obeyed. My awakening goes in waves so sometimes its just pure bliss and sometimes I go “under” again and are more unconscious and that is the worst time. Because in the state of bliss I don’t care what people think or if I am “alone” to think and do what I do. But when I’m unconscious for a while I still remember what I have learned and try to act my own way but then I get scared for what people would think and starts to get desire for money and a career. And I feel I need to tell people about this and “do” something about it, and get together with the likes of me. Which of course is just the ego trying to make sense of the illusion.

Fortunately the awakening process has gone so far that I’m waken more then I am unconscious these days and It deepens (or the veil lightens) every day. (Through reading, synchronicities and just the fact that you get used to being conscious and being unconscious feels more and more ugly.)

So I didn’t write this post to brag even though I realize that an unconscious mind will get a negative surge out of reading this, that’s just the mind doing the thinking. We are all bubbles in a vast ocean all traveling back to the surface, we will all reach it sooner or later and we are immortal. And when we reaches the surface we will join with the whole world and nothing will be left of the ego.

Anyhow my topic for discussion is this:
If the more awaken you are the less you fit in the society that now occupy the earth. That means that if awakening accelerates towards the grand finale. People simply will not fit in the picture of society anymore.

Should you just keep full speed ahead and get as free as possible even if it means that you will lose all your old friends and your job. Or should you try to keep a balance between the material and the spiritual so that you can interact and touch more of the societies structures and inhabitants?

Try to sit on the floor on the next meeting and you will se what I’m talking about. :D

That is a very good question. I think it will depend on individual circumstances. I am in the coutryside and have access to different resources compared to someone in the City. Maybe it depends upon honesty with yourself. Are you remaining in the system for purely comfort reasons or because you have no choice?

If we think others will do it for us, nothing will change.

Some hours have passed since I wrote the question and I realized a couple of things that points in the direction of the “full speed ahead” solution.

1. I have a feeling that this awakening is not the sole result of this lifetime, many thoughts from gurus I have read have already been obvious to me. If I indeed almost woke up in a previous life, than it would be unfair to that person I was then not to continue the effort to the best of my ability now.

2. I have postponed it thanks to my job and my family (no children) for comfort reasons just as you said. But I have hated every job I have had because of the obvious streamlining of people and the pyramid structure and the constant profit and consumer spirit. Maybe it is time to let go of the hope of leading a “normal” career life.

3. The welfare system is ridiculously generous here in Sweden so I would always be able to have food and my apartment and everything even if I get fired for being conscious.

What could I possibly gain by playing along with the rules?... more unconsciousness, more material possessions to worry about, more partaking in the destruction of planet earth.

So I think ill just start to say and do what I feel like and see what happens. :)

Hi neonode,

If we cannot be authentic to our heart, then is life worth living?

Those who really look for Truth in this world and follow it will always find themselves rejected by most other people. They almost always lead difficult lives. The Truth is never popular wisdom, and so for anyone who really knows, they are always outcast.

At the same time, if we have a spouse then we have brought karma upon ourselves in this lifetime, and we need to work that karma out in this lifetime. You may need to leave your spouse, but it would be wise to do so - if you do - in a way that is positive and in right relationship for both of you.

Some people in your position have left their families and jobs and now live in isolation. Others have not. Both staying and leaving can be a correct decision. What you do, then, will depend on how you are inwardly called and what your service for the world will be.

Those who know the Truth never live for themselves, but for the world.

Thank you Amgard for those words of wisdom!

I have no partner for the moment. I realize the truth of your words about pioneers always being disliked by the majority. I want to dedicate my life to lift the veil, both from my self and the world. And since I and the world are one and the same there really is no problem. The transformation has gone to far to stop in me. And indeed life without being true to yourself looses meaning.

I don’t know yet if I will be a hermit and live in nature or if I will be a poet in the city but one thing is sure. I will find out soon because the veil is lifting and the world cannot stand unaffected by that change.

A funny thing happened as I went down to the local gym today. As I was putting on my gym shoes in the looker room I suddenly was aware that I without even trying to or initiating it I was in a oneness state where the mundane task of tightening the shoelaces became something timeless and sacred.

I long to when every moment is like that when every action taken or not taken is sacred and beautiful beyond words. This will be a great spring.

Hey, your situation is familiar. Been there, done that... and so have many of my friends. So I empathize with this. It is no easy thing to "be in the world but not of it."

It seems to me to be good to go into this with few expectations. We may find our daily life transformed, but most likely we will always notice some moments of connectivity and wish for a lot more of them. We will likely never be satisfied with the connectivity we have here in this world. But those moments are treasures - they are the true milestones in our lives.

You said: "I want to dedicate my life to lift the veil, both from my self and the world. " This is what all truly awakening people feel. Welcome to the company of those who seek to aid humanity to break through the darkness of today's daily living, and reveal divine Light and Truth!
