Detoxing through their feet while sleeping? I've been curious about this for awhile and am wanting to know if anybody has tried it, and if it is affective.
I'm new here btw whats up guys.

I've seen those detox pads you put on your feet overnight on a TV program. Basically they contain mushroom extracts, so the dark gunk you see the next morning isn't the toxins coming out, its just your sweat mixing with the mushroom extract and making them black. Rip-off!

yeah the site for exposing these types of things is:
http://www.chem1.com/CQ/gallery.html
its pretty large so would take a while to talk points on each one. He seems to know what hes talking about. Im always a bit hesitant however, since its possible he has an agenda to debunk anything and everything that can help. I mean, if he goes on to say meridians are fake I know thats not true [work of radioisotopic tracers to match where meridians are].
Please post replies that can defend to prove some of these products actually work. Maybe if theres a good study that proves his claims wrong someone can email it to him.
I post this in the interest of getting closer to the truth of what is a scam and whats not, healthwise, so I don't end up buying everything claiming to be healthy [some of which costs a good amount]. For example I always thought reverse osmosis water filtration was better than magnets or something mystical sounding, because reverse osmosis happens in natural springs. Now, claims about magnets I think also say it happens in nature, but this seems less supported...
He talks about the foot bath stuff just do an edit - find and youll go right to it. Its a bit different b/c its about a water bath w/electrodes in it that supposedly cleanse your toxins. I know about this b/c a family member in past months believed this worked, and, at the time she said it seemed to work, even to be too strong [the mix you rub in, not the bath w/electrodes thingie]. Why just on the feet, is it the concept that meridians on the foot will affect areas on the body like the trunk and head, following acupuncture theory, but for topically applied cleansing herbs or muds? Or what?
I mean mud baths and hot tubs have been around much longer - did poeple long ago just put it on their feet? I dont necessarily advocate mud baths or hottubs, I actually got sick once after hotspirings, had a bad experience w/that so Im reluctant to try it at least now. Am I just being confusing?

Thanks for the reply's guys, I'll check out that link you gave.
I guess the only way you can really tell is to just try it once and see what happens.
