i thought i would try to find out what scientology was about just out if interest ,
i have got as far as the founder L R Hubbard and that he believed in dianetics
and is against any form of psychiatry, i have even listened to 7 out of 20, 30mins shows from there website titled the anatomy of the mind which is like pulling teeth as all the information is repeated endlessly

so what is it ll about? what are there beliefs? any one out there able to enlighten me? x x

Brainwashing just like any other religion, but a bit more extensive than most. Their main appeal is their war on the pharmaceutical company especially concerning psychiatry.

they belive in a soul, higher self and other things that spiritualism also involves. i read that hubbard practised shamanism and used crowleys techniques. if you beleve that crowley was fooled by the negative energies (reptilians etc.) you might say they are being fooled. i am agnostic about the whole thing, and i don t know much about it then from what i ve heard and briefly read, and since people judge everything that they don t understand or know much about, i belive we can t be objective...

The rub is something like this. The used these weird electronic devices, and personality testing, to measure the emotion stability or emotional strength of a person. Then they use these things called "run-downs' which are totally cult-like brainwashing, to increase the "emotional strength" of the person. I guess its a bit like taking acid everyday for a few years to toughen up?

If ur insane, they lock u in a room, and basically wait until u "toughen up", and request to leave, in a way they accept (i think from memory, u have to write them a letter or something). At least one person has died this way.

The metaphysics of their beleifs are very strange, involving aliens and all sorts of weird stuff.

Some people say its based on crowley, but i fail to see how, crowley can be found saying in magick in theory and practice that scientologists are hucksters and black magicians, and i see no basis for the "e-meters' or "run-downs" anywhere in crowleys writing. Of course, the COS is based on crowley, and crowley also was critical of the left-hand path, so i guess it could be some form of distortion...

thanks for these links still none the wiser as to what are there beliefs but very interesting viewing i think Germany has it right keep them out at all costs as they are so defensive about what they do and if a true religion they would be sharing there knowledge freely, scary stuff an they should be stopped
i saw in one of the videos that the mets chief of police was at the opening ceremony of a new base here in England welcoming them scary!!!!! and tom cruise is bum licking with the big wigs in the white house

do the leaders attend the bohemia grove i wonder ? x x

gosh maybe i should write some of my dreams down form a church and make millions !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! it all sounds very comic bookish to me i find it difficult to understand how it can attract followers especially in it's infancy but then i feel the same way about most religions x x

I wonder if one of their purposes is to discredit anti-psychiatry thought among outsiders. They alienate themselves from mainstream society to such an extent that they've no fear of becoming too popular, so they make everything they push sound crazy to the majority; a form of reverse psychology maybe. It's an area of interest to me and I think there are sensible points they could make against psychiatric drugs and in favour of nutritional approaches but they instead seem to go out of their way to make their conclusions as unbelievable as possible.

for god sakes everyone. this whole scientology thing really has gone too far......are any of you aware that the whole thing was created because of a bet he had with isaac asimov, on who could create a religion first. asimov wrote foundation, and l ron all of his shite.............its a book written by a bloke less then fifty years ago, all the dianetics crap is merely another system of psychiatry which scientologists always try to de bunk. its an organisation which is TAX FREE, so people that are members save a lot of money. wise up.

More like "scientology, why all the hype ?"

In my opinion scientology is possibily just being used as another distraction for the sheeple by the infamous mainstream media so that the sheeple concentrate mostly on THAT rather than on the bigger picture of what REALLY is happening right now in the world and who/how/why they are orchestrating it. It's probably just just misdirection, they make us look elsewhere and in the meantime they are carrying out their crimes.

Notice how everyone is confused when it comes to Scientology, they have no idea what it's all about. Confusing the public is one of the tactics that they use. The mainstream media ridicules Scientology but doesnt actually giving any FACTS about it that can be backed up AT ALL in my opinion. When I'm talking to people, the amount of times they have come out with stuff like "it's those Scientologists and Tom Cruise, there is something very strange about them", and I ask them how they know this and they have no answers, basically they are just repeating what the mainstream media has planted into their heads.

No I'm not a Scientologist, or ANY religion, ALL religion is bollocks in my opinion including Scientology. The people who join religions are being lied to. Regarding Scientology, I have seen and read all the stuff on here on the forum that people have posted and I dont really feel much the wiser. All I know is the mainstream media and pharmeceutical companies are APPARANTLY against scientology and vice versa so FOR NOW at least I am glad to see a group of people SEEMINGLY fighting the powers that be and I will leave them to it. Time will tell what Scientology is about and I intend to keep an eye out now and again to see what happens but I'm not gonna take my eye off the bigger picture and of the REAL perpetrators and war criminals.

a few nights ago i was walking down Hollywood Blvd with a fiew friends of mine when, on one side of the street we passed a scientology centre that sells all things scientology. they even gave out little pamphlets about how it can help raise your quality of life etc.

but there are already some resistance, as there was a dude standing not far away fronm the shop with a cardboard with stuff written on it like:"$cientology Kills!" and "check out the truth: http://www.xenu.net/ "

Later we walked back on the other side of the street an we got invited by some scientology girls to do a "stress test" - you hold on to two metal bars connected to a machine and they ask you some questions. afterwards you get told you can get rid of the stress in you life by buying the brand newly-updated version of Dianetics for only twenty buck$!

if i had the dough i'd probably have bought it, just to try and figure it out for myself. instead one of the guys got a $5 booklet that explains about the affinity-reality-communication triangle and how it can help you in life.

for a short while, waiting for my friends to finish up, i spoke to one of the girls. (about 4 girls and one guy doing the promotions).
man, she was so sweet, and don't forget gorgeous. i was all loved up like a sad puppy by the time i left. but it's gotta suck doing that kind of work (i guess ministry of sorts??), especially when there are some peeps walking by going: "Fuck scientology!"

well, just my two penneth.

Did anyone of you read the Dianetics...
The dianetics is very similiar too David Ickes learnings, no enteties, no illuminati... It is talking about engrams, and how the systems of believing are ruleing and hypnotising the minds of people. There are many technices, that show how to free your mind.... and non of them includes any belief system...

Dianetcs is very useful book, and is talking about fears isntaled in the reactive mind.... and how can traumas make people too do irational things...

It is very bad and unclever, to get information from one surce... It is better
to read the both, and then make your opinion...

The best way to know about something is to examine that from the first hand...
When I didn't know about David Icke, the first source told me, he is schizophrenic.... If I believed it, I wouldn't know anything about David Icke, and I would decode it as schizophrenic..... The same goes for Habard...

He was clever man, and Dianetic is very similar with the Matrix explanations...
It shows the prison in our minds, the 5 senses, and the emotional stess...

NO ENTETIES, NO EVOKING....
But, everybody have right of his own opinion....

I have read Dianetics, was sent a copy along with other books, by a friend on a forum. Read some of Ethics as well and I use the Self Analysis workbook on Dianetics Thecniques.

Will never join scientology but see no harm in using all information that is available, to find who you are, that is if you are searching of course.

The most interesting idea from scientology is that we are not inside our bodies but outside and have spoken to people who live like this or who have experienced this.

However this being outside body involves no sight, yet when I imagine being outside my body the perception of leaving a body persists, sometimes a large white circle opens up where I think the crown of the head is, other times the shadow of a head comes in to view as I imagine rising upwards, on occasion get a spinning sensation, as if part of me not a body is on fairground ride.

Anyway just wanted to say Dianetics made a lot of sense to me, shame most dismiss without correct research of reading the book.
