I think you'd do better to have a grass roots campaign for someone who agrees with everything the public needs, and does vote against the common interest of the parliament's labor or lords. Finding such a candidate will be harder than anything.

I don't know how the electoral system of the UK works, but if it's anything like ours cheat using grass roots efforts that will put a figure into office who is so progressive against both parties, they will have no choice but be drawn like moths around a candle's flame.

I suggest a sports figure that the public and government might rally round, but what do I know, I don't know the political threads that run in th deep dark corners of the UK. Ask yourselves everyone who can you tolerate working with in governments, and you have yourself an answer.
