Very cool if you ask me=) The guys already did some massive DDoS attacks to the scientology webpage (a whole weekend not accessable the page), and hacked some myspace stuff of them.

i think cruise is actually a good actor/person, its just actors, celebs are insecure and find that the material wealth/fame they have does not fulfill them like they had previoulsy thought, so they seek spiritual contenment, like all of us.

There are and where a lot of actions against scientology and some mainstream channels pick that up! What is different with this one is that it is globalnews. In all the western country,s at least two or three big mainstream channels picking this up....whenever something like that happens, i believe, there is no coincidence but a bigger force pushing it!

This Anon thing is being spread over celebrity blogs and the like so I don't really take it too seriously. There's far greater atrosities going on than the Church of Scientology. Sounds like a joke to me. I could be way off tho, who knows.

But as for "Anonymous" being a "group" of "hackers"... first of all, they arn't really a group, more like a bunch of pre-pubescent techo kids that all use a large network of forums, 'members' come and go as they please... The whole "anonymous" thing started from picture sharing sites where you can post any picture anonymously, thus every user has the name 'anonymous'. Some of these picture sharing sites are the same ones that they use to coordinate. Secondly, they arn't hackers... They are a bunch of little kids that download DDoS programs like (LongCat Flooder or Jmeters is what they used this past week) in order to flood packets at a web server.. Their methods are primitive and lack a prerequisite of any real technical knowledge. Even within the "Anonymous" social circles, it is well known that there are very few real hackers. Other than using denial of service attacks, they also love to spam prank calls, order pizzas/taxis any have them delivered, etc.

However I don't doubt that the media has been all too happy to report on this general "O NO INTERNET TERRORIZTS" fear story.

Also: They are trying to call off the attacks against scientology because many of their sites got hacked and deleted by REAL hackers.... in a youtube video possibly by the REAL hackers calling thsmelves "The Regime", possibly hired by scientology to combat Anonymous.... or its probably just a joke by some Anonymous. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cHFqNySAiR4

You guys give anon WAAAYYYY too much credit. Whoever said it up there is correct. They're nothing but a bunch of script kiddies who do it for the "lulz" When they get bored with it, they will stop. They're not out to actually prove/change/do anything. They pick a random target and harass them. Now don't get me wrong. I have firsthand experience with Anon, and it isn't pretty. They have the potential to fuck shit up, but there are too many of them to actually accomplish something like taking down scientology.
