'Girl switches blood type after liver transplant in first known case: doctors (http://news.yahoo.com/s/afp/20080124/ts_afp/australiahealthchildrentransplant)'

Demi-Lee Brennan was aged nine and seriously ill with liver failure when she received the transplant, doctors at a top Sydney children's hospital told AFP.

Nine months later it was discovered that she had changed blood types and her immune system had switched over to that of the donor after stem cells from the new liver migrated to her bone marrow
It is a... Dream,
after all;)

I don't think too many scientists get on the David Icke site. They are to busy tending their conspiracy theories. Like Lawyers earning their ill gotten gains.

Stem cells are cells that can turn into any other kind of cell in the body depending on what environment they are in.

Her body basically managed to overide her own DNA and started expressing the genes that code for the donors bloody type........amazing.

Don't you mean the donor's genetic code has overrided the host's dna? Pretty creepy. She isn't the same person anymore, really.

They inject meanwhile with every transplantantation steam cells to the receiver. Reason for this is simple, the receiver starts producing antibodies from the guy who spends, that lowers the risk of organ rejection. And the receiver can live after a short period of time without taking ugly medizin (immun supressiver).
That makes the life much more compfortabel for the people and of course safer.
