There will be a small cadre of 'Gods' giving orders to an administration level that control the slaves. The latter will scavenge the countryside for resources. There will be roving mechwarriors, both land and air-based. The slightest un-authorised move will be taken out from space. Meanwhile the genetic stock will be ever decreased until we are basically on a par with animals. At some point an artificial lifeform will replace us. The Gods will perhaps become cyborgs.
Soon after that the human race will cease to exist.
