The Two Beasts and Image of Revelation

What do you all think of this....

1st Beast...."Power Leaders" (Nations over the years that were in power...Compare Rev.17:10.. 'They are also seven kings. Five have fallen, one is, the other has not yet come; but when he does come, he must remain for a little while'....7 'Kings = Power/Leaders...5 fallen.. Egypt, Assyria, Babylon, Medo-Persia, Greece..1 is Rome (In John's day)...1 to come U.S/Britain? Russia joined with others? etc)

2nd Beast...."Religion" ...Rev 13:11 says the beast had 2 horns like a lamb (looks good) but it spoke like a dragon (so evil)...in vs 12 it has all the power of 1st beast and it makes people "worship" 1st beast...vs 13 says it performs 'great and miraculous' signs even causing fire to come down from heaven (compare 1Kings 18:38)..Now in vs 14 the 2nd beast (Religion) performed something, on behalf of 1st beast (World power), that deceived the people of the earth and he ordered them to set up an 'image' in honor of the 1st beast and he was giving power to give breath to this 'image', and the 'image' is ...

....It also says that if any didn't worship the the image they would be killed (Go back through some ages and try not paying taxes or loans back, not to mention all the people who die every day because they have no money to live on.)

Power Leaders or State is indeed the BEAST that rises out of the sea. The State is the Beast; who can make war with the BEAST? it is asked (Rev.1.4). The ten horns of the BEAST, I believe, are THOU SHALT STEAL, THOU SHALT KILL, THOU SHALT COMMIT FORNICATION,, ETC.. These horns are crowned, meaning that they have royal authority (Power of State)..

The second "Beast" comes out of the Earth or ground. So I wonder why you see it as religion. I see Religion as the Whore that is discribed a little later on. Maybe the word "beast" as applied to "the second" is a mis-translation of some sort. This really would make more sense, ... if it wasn't the same word,, For example, the second Beast is named directly only that once.. and the last sentence of that chapter says, "The number of the Beast".. but does not indicate Beast 1 (mark of the state) or Beast 2 (mark of the anti-christ, or religion as you say). Also in Ch.17 we have the Beast that was and is not and yet is? But which of the two is that? Doesnt' say.

Interesting study this book. Already it's looking like the NWO is that 1st Beast (See Daniel .. ch.8 is it?). Chapter 13 is some heavy awful stuff. But, what is meant by "give an image to the first Beast and make it speak and live and cause to be killed for not receiving the mark..".. may not be clear as yet. But.. If the immediate future looks anything like what is intimated here,, what seems to be shapping up daily... we are in for some rocky times to say the least.

I see that as religion because of a few things, like the wording such as it makes people 'worship' , it has 2 horns like a 'lamb' (Like Jesus) but speaks like a dragon (religion has been the main cause for most of the wars in the world) as for it coming out of the earth that is because it is man made, not from God.

I see the Whore as the U.S. When you read Rev 18 with the U.S in mind it fits perfectly...Just look what is happening today, they say we are in or going in a "World Recession" because of the U.S economy.....And because of other prophecies about the U.S.

I agree that a lot has already happened but don't forget that it is 'in the lord's day' (Rev 1:10) and also compare Daniel 8:17, Daniel 12:4, 9 (vision for the 'time of the end').

the 'lord's day' is your SUNday. Sunday in Greek is Κυριακή, which means "day of the lord" (and not of the Sun)

about the "end times", people have been speculating and correlating current events to what has been written in there, but they were always wrong, as the "end times" never happened. is it going to happen?

who knows? what does it matter? are we going to have to be "good" because the end times are near and we are scared of going to hell or something, or are we supposed to be as we want and choose as if the "end time" is tomorrow?

what if the end of the world was for tomorrow? what would you do today and why aren't you doing it?

i think that the "salvation" and "apocalyptic" scenarios have been deliberately put into religious scriptures, to motivate people to value and respect their lives more than they used to, not to only look for pleasure and self gratification, but to think about their children and their children's children and the whole world from a bigger perspective, because when the end of their lives come (the "end times"), they will be the ultimate authority who will know exactly what they did and why and how to evaluate (judge) their lives.

But we worship Sports figures, Doctors, Lawers, Money, and sitting at the temple of mind screw -- T.V. -- looks like worship to me. Worship is giving divine reverence to. To worship the Beast may be to give divine reverence to a State or it's image.- like in Nazi Germany to the Reich and it's Swastica.

The other reason (false) religion, like modern christianity in America, may be a whore, is that is how the Prophets refered to Jewdism in their day, as a whore and a harlot.

We also see later on that the whore rides the Beast. Church going along to get along and uniting with the State... but the state (NWO, The Beast) turns on the whore and destroys her (the holocaust, tribulation,) The NWO acts as an agent of judgement on the false bride of Christ.


Rev.18.. is not referencing the "Whore", but Babylon the Great. Which most probably is America, but may also indicate Western Civilization, or just New York, or just the twin towers (as we all saw -- a fulfilment of that prophecy, REV.18). Babylon is a symbol of city builing on crime and curruption. Hence the term, Hollywood Babylon.

What that second Beast is that rises out of the earth may be, I'm not sure. I sway toward The Anti-Christ,--.. but I'm not sure that the word Beast here is appropriate.

But this is a very interesting book, and I wish more free thinking individuals would take an honest look at it. Be flexable with your understanding, beacause it is the Demon influence (Reptilian) that demands hard inflexable understanding.

I thought of things like that but in Rev 13:14 it says that the 2nd beast performs something, on behalf of the 1st beast, that misleads the people of the earth and it makes an image of the 1st beast...Now to me the image of world/power leaders is money/banking system.
