I know this was not a big issue in the scheme of things we are dealing with. But it made me realise that in my new clearer mode of thinking, nothing the government does is as it seems.
Why would the government admit that it has lost some CDs that has the data from a few million parents relating to child benefit? They could have ignored it and it would never have become public. It made me think why would they do this? Why admit a mistake?
I have begun to realise that if they admit a mistake, you should look behind the curtain to see what is really happening.
I do not believe it was a mistake. I believe the records were mislaid on purpose.
Why?
Well, i think it was simply money. I believe some lower ranker has sold these records to marketting companies.. Nothing more sinister than that. just quick cash.
They have admitted it to cover their asses later when people become bombarded with marketting materials; they can at least say, hey our bad, we've held our hands up, sorry folks!
Anyone else agree?
I mean, cmon! Lost CDs in the post? I dont believe that for one second. Nadda.

I would have thought it was purely the money angle as you said, but there were a few similar data loss cases at once. My guess is its to push the card, Microchip, DNA Database agenda.....

But how can they push such agendas when they have shown themselves completely inept at handling personal data? perhaps there are people on the inside doing this to make the government look stupid so that such agendas will not happen.
The fact is that chips and cards will make data more vulnerable because people can lose them. It would not be long before a hacker designed a device to scan peoples chip for ID theft. Data that is supposed to be held in secure servers and areas is far less vulnerable.

Could it be that when TPTB start cutting back on social supports
this will be an excuse, "your payments are among the missing records
so no monthly for you ! " ? ?

I had a knee jerk reaction to the news of details being lost and I closed my bank account, opened a new one and asked the benefits agency to pay my child benefit via girobank credit posted to my address. For those not in UK this is similar to a pay check that you take to a paying office and they exchange it for cash. I never thought anything of it and became suspicious when after 2 months I'd recieved no giro. Anyway, I called the benefits agency who then told me that I had been paid and that the money was paid into my bank account. I said, I have closed my bank account so who are you paying the money to. They then quoted deatils of my new account which I know out of fear I had never divulged details to them. The bank gave them my details. It doesn't matter how careful you are with private information at the end of the day it can never be fully private between yourself and your service provider as they serve only each other for the benefit of themselves.

The incompetence will slowly condition the masses to demand a personal microchip. I like your optimism about the people on the inside.

no more vulnerable than a credit card or a wad of cash. You can't lose a microchip embedded in your muscle tissue, and that will be enough for the unenlightened masses to go along with it, especially along with 'tagging' their children in case they go missing.
also, I am not saying its solid proof or anything, just another piece of info suggesting this is where wer'e heading, - I believed what Aauron Russo said - that Nicholas Rockerfeller clearly said to him that the goal is to microchip the population.

also a subtle method of slow poisoning and early demise so as not
to have to pay old age benefits.
and collect huge medical payments along the way while experimenting witht new chemicals in humans unbeknownst to the victims.
