How do folks, first post so bear with me, not sure if this is in the right bit.. and hello..
I've heard about a prophecised event of some sort (specifics anyone?) that's to happen on 21.12.2012, and this the date of the Mayan Doomsday Prophecy, I'm not questioning it's legitmacy or anything, that's not what this is about, more confusion concerning dates, ie; ideas based on the egyptian astrotheology that so many of the planets' religions are based around today, I guess most people know that the reason it is 2008 now is because the year zero was the beginning of the age of pisces according to the Egyptians, and that in 2112 our solar system will be in alignment with the centre of the milky way moving into the age of aquarius, the specific day is said to be the 21st Dec 2112..
So which is it? Is it the 'end of the world/age/aeon in 2012 or 2112? Who's right? Egyptians or Mayans or Neither?

Well what I read in "Apocalypse 2012" at the bookstore was that the time after Dec. 21, 2012 is like Day 1. I can't remember the number of years for the cycle of these "Days" in the Mayan calendar, but there are 13. And I guess we're in the 13th "Day" right now or something. Honestly I didn't read the entire book, but this was in the Introduction of it. Basically it was saying that the Mayan calendar is cyclical. I don't know anything about Egyptian astrology. But I thought that the age of Aquarius started in 2050? *shrug*

the Myans complete calander had a five thousand year cycle ending on 21/12/2012.It forcasts a shift in world consciousness and not the end of the world.I think.

Its the opposite of a doom and gloom thing. It's the new world finally being born.
the mayan calendar just stops on that date it doesnt go any further than that time stops. no body knows whats gonna happen whether doomsday or even nothing....so lets wait and watch

my belief is that in 2012 those of us who embrace the opportunity will ascend beyond this prison matrix, and that when we are gone on dec. 21, the obstacle to the NWO's final completion will be removed. I believe that after that the worst and final 100 years of human history will begin. After which those souls who missed the first ascension will finally be ready to do what they could have done all along in 2112. Of course I could be wrong, lets watch and see. IMO the safest bet is take the first ticket. If I'm right do you really want to be here? And if I'm wrong then at least your no worse off!

There is some debate about what the actual date for the begining of the fifth age is, in the mayan calander. Some say it is 2011, for example. I think the consensus is fairly well informed and calculated though. Im not sure how this related to the egyptian calender. The begining of the fifth age has nothing to do with astrology(the age of aquarius), and is meant to be the aligning of the our solar system/planet with the galactic centre of the milky way (which should be visible in the sky).

Seriusly though, I hope it wont be about ruling the planet after this, but about working together instead of all the mistrust we have today.

There is a way to avoid "doomsday" and that is by realizing that "doomsday" is here and now and that what we really need is ... the happy hunting grounds.
Have you tought for instance how much more FUN it would be to have to hunt for you steak than to get it at the supermarket?
