I got rid of my TV elvis style about six months ago. Sadly the vast majority are still glued to their propaganda boxes.

It is not that bad, I have friends on the moss and when I cross the pond I usually pay a visit.. Maybe you spent a week with the wrong people?.

Butterfly is constantly on me for watching TV, but I don't watch to much. Mostly things that have no agenda such as funny animals video shows. hehe I also love to watch the 24-hour news networks to see what line of bullshit they are pushing. Oh, and every night at 8PM I drool on myself watching the only guy on TV telling the truth, Keith Olbermann or as I call him Ubermann.

firstly you have no clue as to what tv i watch, there was a reason as to the question asked, and i have had friends in moss side, and cheadle, ancoats and cheetam hill for many years

Probably like most good comedy there is a grain of truth in it.
Think most cancel estates get a bad name for the few nutters that get dump there and make peoples life a misery,Think the more deprived the area the worse it is.

I was just pointing out that maybe you have not research some of the hard truth that get spread on this site and other truth sites.I know you have researched and studied allot and knowledgeable about many things plus you have had many experiences, plus you have worked hard to get were you are.
Think a lot of people on here have got you wrong,thats what I was trying to point out,Its not fun or cool to know some of these hard truths and can make you bitter towards others who are interested in other things that are posted on this forum.
to clear things up i have not seen Shameless on tv, i have just watched a few of the first series on my neighbours daughters dvd set she got, one thing did strike me as odd in it and that is the lack of ethnic minority families in it.I also have just read a piece on the creator of it Paul Abbot and how he was raised on a Burnley housing estate, this being so, surely it would have been more realistic to show more mixed race and ethnic families living there

I have said before and I will keep on saying it, nuit has help me through a difficult time, I am going through a difficult divorce, with her own experience and knowledge of law has helped me great deal.It winds me up when people have cheep digs at her with thier perceived idea of who she is.

regarding TVs... I am not one to believe if something is causing a problem you cut it off.... you got to find would what the problem is...

I think it is a valid point how the media portray life in the UK and try to stereo type certain groups and areas, through sitcoms,soaps,so called realty shows and even in the news.

well i have known people like that off shameless and lived some of those stories and do my best to avoid them now at all cost in my expeirence shameless is actualy played down if they made it true to life it would never be shown
