A personal Hero of mine, in 23 days, will have been dead for 143 years.

A man, whom was self educated. A man, who loved and cherished the thought of liberty. A French man... A true intellectual, overshadowed by his rival and friend, Karl Marx.

A man of these quotes:

"Capital"... in the political field is analogous to "government"... The economic idea of capitalism, the politics of government or of authority, and the theological idea of the Church are three identical ideas, linked in various ways. To attack one of them is equivalent to attacking all of them . . . What capital does to labour, and the State to liberty, the Church does to the spirit. This trinity of absolutism is as baneful in practice as it is in philosophy. The most effective means for oppressing the people would be simultaneously to enslave its body, its will and its reason.

To be GOVERNED is to be watched, inspected, spied upon, directed, law-driven, numbered, regulated, enrolled, indoctrinated, preached at, controlled, checked, estimated, valued, censured, commanded, by creatures who have neither the right nor the wisdom nor the virtue to do so. To be GOVERNED is to be at every operation, at every transaction noted, registered, counted, taxed, stamped, measured, numbered, assessed, licensed, authorized, admonished, prevented, forbidden, reformed, corrected, punished. It is, under pretext of public utility, and in the name of the general interest, to be place[d] under contribution, drilled, fleeced, exploited, monopolized, extorted from, squeezed, hoaxed, robbed; then, at the slightest resistance, the first word of complaint, to be repressed, fined, vilified, harassed, hunted down, abused, clubbed, disarmed, bound, choked, imprisoned, judged, condemned, shot, deported, sacrificed, sold, betrayed; and to crown all, mocked, ridiculed, derided, outraged, dishonored. That is government; that is its justice; that is its morality.

On January 19th, I will be doing ANYTHING I please. In respect to this man.
A man.
A father.
An intellectual.
An Anarchist.

Which is to mean?

This man was aware of things 143 years ago that most people would have scoffed at.

This is still so today. Government was corrupt then. It is corrupt now and still most people are unaware of this.

However, having said that, I believe people are changing and the momentum IS picking up.

Oh. I thought you were going to mock my respect and love for anarchist ideologies.

Carry on. :)

Karl Marx should have listened to this guy. If he had then the world would be very different.

Marx naively spoke of a "withering away" of the state. But you can't create freedom from tyrany. You can only create freedom from freedom. As Gandhi said: "There is no path to peace. the path IS peace".

On the other hand, how can you understand peace if you have never known war?

Horse manure help pretty flowers grow and they smell lovely.

Agreed.

Maybe not everybody 'gets it' the first few thousand times around.

Or they just get addicted to the "victim-victimizer" game.

People are strange.
