Note: I believe I am presently being telepathically manipulated by an unidentified network, so take all I say with a grain of salt. see my post @ http://www.davidicke.com/forum/showthread.php?p=221917#post221917
I believe in psychic energy, telepathic influence, and things like an unexplained connection between once-united presently separated particles. I believe there is an extent to which the individual's opinion manipulates the situation the individual is likely to come across, and a small part of this can be explained by things like psychic energy.
I do not believe in an existence that is totally created by the observer, nor in an existence that is merely an interaction of what different entities believe to be real.
I do not believe in a magic that exists outside certain laws (detected or not) of a causal universe.
I believe there is an extent to which everything that is consists of intersecting causes.
All that being said, my question, mainly geared toward Objectivistic Psychics who'v studied psychic phenomenon as empirically as available tools allow, and people who'v studied empirical research concerning psychic phenomenon extensively, is this: Is there a method of creating a network of psychics united by a "spell" which does not permit the members of the network from knowingly betraying the good more than they are supporting it, and furthermore that strengthens any task which any member of the network considers to be good and free?
To establish a kind of Foundation for what I am trying to do, :
Ethics, for me, can be determined by first determining the purpose of ethics.
To my mind, what is lost in the case of a betrayal of an ethical code is an emotional loss - loss itself is an emotion.
Freedom also comes into play, and freedom seems to me to be lost when people are [forced] into situations where they feel things they don't want [don't want, a negating emotion] to feel, for whatever reason.
Death is an emotional loss because of the desire to stay alive, because of the emotional attachment to you others have, because of the physical pain endured when death occurs, and whatever else I haven't writ here on the subject.
So to me, ethics exist to protect the freedom of emotional beings.
The decision demonstrating greatest ethical justification seems to me to be that decision which supports the greatest amount of freedom of emotional beings.
My reasoning for bringing all this up is rather compelling. The inherent power of psychic ability is profound. Were there a way to form a network of united psychic wills which are all able to trust each other reasonably well without interfering with the free will of any member of the group, it would be worthwhile to build/join such a network.
There are flaws in any plan, but I think an extensive exploration of this subject would be thoroughly worthwhile.
I guess I could summarize the magical connection between the individuals in the network as follows: No member of this network may act to knowingly betray greatest overall freedom, Every member of this network is obligated to attempt a thorough exploration of what constitutes freedom and greatest overall freedom, and the united magical will of this network will back any action which an individual member commits to support greatest overall freedom.
