I admit I am no "expert" but I am slowly getting more info about this. Mainly because of the attaks such as this on the Islam faith. It began with "Know your emeny", so to speak. But I was surprised by what I have found. Islam has more in common with my own religous "background", especially the reverence of Jesus and Mary. This though was from my childhood, so it has a "soft spot" but doesnt rule.

I see Zionists, both Christian and Jews behind the attacks like this. If you start it in the MSM media, uniformed will take it up on the web. It ties in with Samuel Huntingtons book, which was not a "predictive" work but a summation of the "planned work" by the same people who he worked with. We are seeing this now.

As long as people expand their boundaries and read what , maybe years ago they would not have thought of, and take into account what is happening now and try to understand that powerful people influence our "so called" opinions, we should stay on top of this. Recent reports from the intell agencies in the US have put a hole in the SATANISTS plans and their work for the Zionists, which is good and may show a turning.

well according to islam, allah - the creator has sent more than 1 lakh prophets to the people so that they can follow the word of allah, which is to worship only allah and none other. right from adam, noah, abraham,jesus, mohammed all are the prophets sent by allah. keep in mind that mohammed came long after jesus...by that time christianity was widely spread. so this guy mohammed comes up and says that allah has chosen him as his prophet (all alone in the cave when no one was around) and to spread his word and stop idol worshiping. since jesus is also considered as a prophet by islam that makes him a superior position and so does mary. me thinks its nothing but a business move...using some already existing brand (jesus) and linking your concept (islam) to it would make it easier for people to follow islam.

From what i understand all _fundamentalist_ beleif systems are indeed a problem to the world, they engender absolutist moral systems.

There is an academic democratic moderate islamic perspective, that while not dominant, is emerging in the middle east, more in some countries than others (and even in places like iran, in the universities). Of course the war in the middle east has reversed some of this social progress.

If they instead had engendered good economies in the middle east, with good education etc, they could have created an enviroment for moderate democratic goverments. As it is, that process of transition to moderate democracies should take longer.

The best you can do for oppression of women in the middle east is espouse/support a moderate islamic point of veiw, support moderate islamic economies, not just bash the koran. Just find some on the web and start boosting their ideas of moderation...

I mean remember all the atrocities commited in the name of christianity? Not exactly originally very egalitarian either..At least in some part, with exposure to modern ideals, christianity has come foward. The fundamentalist middle east will do the same, socially, its well understood social science, its a matter of the right supportive enviroment.

Let's question why a god would even need to send "prophets" so we can direct our worship to him. Would it really be taking away our "free will" if he just built it into us?
