the ten commandments are just a tool used to imprison people in fear of some judging god up there. No "God" would ever judge. We are the only ones to judge ourselves.

"God" is the conciousness that created everything, the spark...it loves all and everything that is part of its creation. And creation is love. Hence no need for any commandments, no "god" would ever command anything of any of us. This is our life here, our path and we are in control of it, at least in terms of our spiritual growth and evolvement. The material world as it's been hijacked by evil elitist insiders make invasions on our deelopment, but some of us break free from that...clearly you haven't yet!

Is one of the commandments to not follow any other god? Kinda revealing, since a truly good being should not mind whoever a person says he is praying to, as long as he follows the same basic principles. With this major flaw in the commandments, I believe they are all flawed. Good pointers, but not the best way to reach a higher conciousness.

Personally i think the ten commandments are poor moral guides. "Harm no-one" in wicca, "love thy neigbour" in christianity, seem far more comprehensive and useful as guides.

Some of the ten commandments is about worshipping other gods (jelousy is always a good trait in a divine being!), and craving your neighbours stuff (Actually thats a pretty good moral guide, envy is pretty lame). Oh that and dont steal or kill....:)

But to me it doesn't matter be you catholic, protestant or whatever kind, it's all Christianity. But as you say leave out the dogma. Just live the good points. No need to live in fear of going to Hell. Or take the Bible as the only truth and follow it religiously forgive the pun. :)

The story of Jesus in the Bible he was against the charging of interest on loans and didn't like the ruling priesthood of the time who where not Christians. They may have been Babylonian Talmudists, racist and ruled with money.

Seems Jesus wanted equality for all. Which is what a true Christian also believes.

I respect all of the comments! Combines all rejection, exception, basic moral reality and arguments!
In this post I only had two specific words Ten Commandments & God even so I don't like the book much but all the books say God give them to Moses and Jesus wasn't even born!
No Jesus no Christians no Religion and no books!

If I am correct Moses received the Ten Commandments before Jesus was born & Christianity started there profitable business! Just look at the vatican.
The good part on the Ten Commandments is most religion don't argue the 10 rules.
Also yes if you a normal person with basic morals you automatically live your life by this rules!

I never claimed God exists. I'm one of the least brainwashed people I know. I have broken through most of the programming. And if you want to go ten pages to argue about the Bible religion etc you've got the wrong man. I dont FOLLOW any religion.

I've researched many of the religious books, and I think you'll find our views are similar. I think people would be better off with out any religions.

I'm well aware of Icke's theories about Jesus. And heard the other side of the argument, that Jesus was a man. Truth is we'll never know if either version is true, there's no definate proof either way. But I dont believe he was the son of any God.

1. covet neighbor's wife and adultery.. same thing.. should be able to turn into one.

2. The killing thing... well... what about war? what about self-defense?
