Who's afraid of Virginia Woolf? (1966)
Staring Elizabeth Taylor.

Really powerful film about a husband and wife who have the most insane and troubling marriage. They are pressed to invite a newly wed couple over for some drinks, when things get uncomfortable...

Do you guys recommend any other good black & white films?

Love B/W.

I suggest: The Naked Prey

Not only B/W, but almost no Dialogue.

Must See. Enjoy.

Two wonderful examples of B&W cinematography, up there http://www.trading-forex-online.com/arrow%20pointing%20up.png

I have to suggest Citizen Kane first.

Also, The Day the Earth Stood Still.

I saw this the other day & although it's not a B&W film I can't help but recommend it anyway. A beautiful film :)

Seven Samurai
by
Akira Kurosawa
190 minutes long.

Made in 1954, black & white, in Japanese but subtitled.

After a few minutes you forget about the subtitles,
and by the end of the film, it's almost as though you can understand
Japanese.

Best film ever made IMO. :)
