Is time speeding up ?

Over the last couple of years I have sensed that time itself seems to be speeding up, has anyone else felt this ? I think this is a symptom of the increasing vibrational state that is happening in this Earth dimension and is connected to 2012 .Coincidentally, the Earth's Base Frequency which for decades has been 7.8 cycles per second has in the last 10 years been at over 11 cycles, and is still rising. yes! i just posted about this in the 'something huge is about to happen' thread. I remember reading something about the schumann resonance and how the 24 hour day has been reduced to a 16 hour day, i often think that time is going faster than it used to

As you get older, a year is an ever smaller percentage of your lifespan, therefore they begin to "fly by". When you were five, a year was 1/5 of your life, so it seemed like a really long time. Trust me, the older you get, the faster they appear to go. It's just how your mind percieves it.

The rising of awareness is slowly causing deterioration in the illusion of 'time' which creates timelessness. We need only embrace it more each day to take notice.

and "new age" use the fact that often people get the sense time is speeding up,
to make them believe in some time speeding up... ascension... alien invasion... stories!

but then again....
according to new age when you have your head itch a lot...
or when you have a zit on your face... it's because you are ascending!

I think it is more to do with the physical structure of the Universe itself than anything else. We know that the faster you move the slower time beats. So a fly is going to experience time running much more slowly than an elephant.
