My theory
If the psychic had a micro-chip implant and the person being read by the psychic also had a micro-chip implant. They'd both be linked to the same computer systems. This would make it possible, for either one of them to have their mind, thoughts, scanned and relayed to the said computer system.
This data, "the person's thoughts," could then be sent directly to the "psychic's implanted chip." Plus any other relevant personal data, previously stored on computer files
regarding the person, would be passed via the micro-chip to the psychic's concious thought processes, in turn it would appear that the psychic is able to give an accurate reading. The person being read, and the psychic would be none the wiser.
Both would explain this as proof of the "psychic's telepathic abilities." This may even be possible without either people being micro-chipped, Thoughts can be read ( scanned ) or implanted, with other technology and electronic devices.
Accurate future predictions, could then be manipulated and brought into play. Either by an agent sent on a mission as the "handsome stranger" as predicted, that the person who'd had the psychic reading would meet. Or, people that are also micro-chipped. Could easily be given thoughts, to be at a certain time and place to play their role.
This theory may explain.....why, there's many numbers of psychic celebrities and others, who have come into the spotlight in recent times.
