I don't know why this was moved.
There is more to this than meets the eye i am sure. Like the changing of the clocks in UK,
Then the rising sun in greenland and the mass animal deaths I am sure all connected maybe pole shift or something else.

Goodness gracious! The shift in your zodiac sign is due to the Precession of the Equinoxes. Nothing strange about that! The Earth wobbles on its axis....look it up.

Ya...precession of equinox plus the whole thing about declination...

And then there's tropical vs sidereal zodiacs....

At least signs don't affect the angular relationships?

For anyone looking into astrology, I find progressions and the aspects they make to natal planets to be very uncanny in timing.

Oh another thing!

Your ascendant sign/decanate and any planets rising REALLY does seem to affect your appearance!

My facial features are very late cap rising. Another one is Carl Jung's.

Could just be coincidence, sure. It'd be a fun little project for astrologers to take portraits of many celebs from each rising sign and decanate then average all the faces within each decanate and see if the composites match the astrological descriptions.

This will actually be pretty easy to do, just time consuming.

Precession of the equinox is NOT news. Ptolemy knew about it ~2000 years ago. <yawn>

There's no discrepancy really, you're comparing 'apples' with 'pears', so to speak!:)

For the sake of equality, Astrology refers to 12 hypothetical Zodiac constellations, all having corresponding names to the real Zodiac constellations, and having an equal share of the sky (30 degrees), whereas the real Zodiac constellations are are of varying sizes, some sprawling, some tiny.

Also, the real zodiac has always included bits of neighbouring constellations, like Ophiuchus. These star groups haven't just edged their way into the zodiac, they've been there for as long as man has been able to comprehend them!

No controversy, no 'news', just a journalist making a non-story over a mix-up of methodologies!

True that. This is why there's debate among astrologers about when the whole "Age of Aquarius" starts.

Another departuring point, because of the fuzzy precision of sign positions and all the different house systems in use, I'm really not too sure of using houses and their rulers, but transits, progressions, and angular aspects shouldn't be affected.

The ancients knew that the earth was round and the X-ian Church taught that the earth was flat. The Ophiuchus knowledge concerned the equator.
Hipparchus was credited with finding the axial precession of the equinoxes sometime between 147 BC and 127 BC. The number is 25,765 "years".
The X-ian Church taught 10,000 years.

The constellation of the man holding the snake is in reference to the equator of earth. Moses and other priests of Egypt held rods that became "snakes" and the Pharoahs must have known about this as well. I think that Hipparchus was trained in the Eygptian schools and that the knowledge is much older.

The Jews would hide such wisdom also as this would counter the Mosaic authority.The African Obeah societies used this wisdom from ancient times. Obeah is the root for "obey". The Obeah is associated with ebony wood.

I think that the truth is hidden in the Saharan desert. The Obeah relates to gravity and levitation as well.

I think that the new revelation about the 13th sign is curious. Perhaps it will help us with UFO mechanics.
