All,

Is www.davidicke.com 'banned' in your work?

Used to access this site via work during designated times, (lunch time when they 'relax' the policy) but now they've banned it totally with the usual 'access denied does not meet company internet access policy' bollocks.

For what it's worth I work for a finanical services company with 1700 employees, so the 'bankers' must not have approved lol.

Who all can still access site @ work?

cheers,

toe

No probs here in the UK. I work for a multi-national who ban a lot of sites on their network but this one is OK.

Easy solution. You should still be able to access the site via an anonymous proxy server such as Proxify (www.proxify.com) or HideMyAss (www.hidemyass.com). Just go to one of those sites and type the address for whichever banned website you want to access. It should bypass the companies firewall restrictions...

I work for a Canadian cable communications co-operative, and the web site isn't banned here - of course, it's a small enough operation that they haven't bothered filtering any web sites, since they actually trust their employees.

Lol! They banned most access at work because 2 people were found spending 7 hours a day on the internet (out of an 8 hour workday).

Most websites now are blocked by Websense, 3rd party software. http://www.websense.com/global/en/ The only sites we can access are categorized by Websense as "Business". We can't even access the weather! Lol!

No, not Shaw...Regina is one of the few places they don't offer service. And yeah, the city does kick ass...I didn't realize how much until I moved to Red Deer, Alberta for a year and a half.
