I should mention the main argument why I decided it to be genuine: The shaking of the pictures, but the UFOs remain on their appropriate places - this should be extremely hard, time-consuming and probably expensive to falsify by video editing.

THE IMAGE:

At the time the image was taken, GOES-8 was in a geostationary orbit 21,600 miles (36,000 kilometers) above Earth. The huge disc appears to be moving at the same orbital speed as the satellite, approximately 6,696 miles per hour (10,713 kilometers per hour).

"Three more images were taken at 10-minute intervals, and the UFO came through very clear," Sanchez added.

The second GOES-8 video was shot on April 7, 1996. Although the image disappeared very quickly from the GOES website, it was downloaded by Chile's Centro Meteorologico Regional de Antofagasta. This image "shows the UFO over the Atlantic in front of (just east of) the Brazilian coast."

The GOES-8 video images were discussed during the broadcast by two ufologists, Dr. Mario Dussuel of Comite de Estudios de Fenomenos Aereos Anomalos (CEFAA) and Rodrigo Cuadra of Equipe Superior de Investigacion Ovniologica (ESIO). CEFAA is Chile's official national study group, composed of government agencies, local ufologists and the Fuerza Aerea de Chile, FACH (the Chilean Air Force).

In respect of the picture itself, it is said by experts in satellite image analysis that the object is real and enormous; in fact somewhere between 450 and 500 km in diameter. The UFO is moving at the same speed as the GOES-8 because at least three further frames taken automatically over the following 10 minutes depict the same object very clearly and minus blurring, as one might expect due to the timing of the GOES-8 camera. The GOES-8 is a geostationary satellite positioned some 36,000 km above the earth and travels at 3.1 km/sec.

The curious thing is that 4 years later, on April 7th1996, a similar thing happened again. Again an image was also taken by GOES-8. The UFO was now over the Atlantic in front of Brasilian coast. It was also huge in size (approx. 400km in diameter).


On this occasion the images were recovered by Centro Meteorologico Regional de Antofagasta, and while I don't have any copies of this I have seen a picture. It is less impresive than the first photo' capture of1992 and represents a much darker object, showing temperatures of 40°C approximately in it's darker zone and -40°C in it's more clear parts. This reveals that it emits some sort of energy. Neither the Chilean goverment nor military have commented on the photographs at this time

MAYBE aliens really do exist...

At least that is what Coun Roy Campsall is beginning to wonder after he spotted an unidentified object in the sky last Saturday, June 27.

He said: It was between 11.30pm and midnight and I saw these big red lights in the sky.

There were eight objects altogether, hovering in the night sky between Dishley and Hathern and they went towards the East Leake way. They must have been going fast because they just disappeared.

It was silent and ever so queer. I was shaking, it was really scary to be honest with you. Id heard about the lanterns but it wasnt them, they werent floating. And it definitely wasnt an aeroplane, I cant explain it. I rang the police when I got home.

Im not saying they were aliens but there is definitely something out there.

A spokesman for Leicestershire Police said Coun Campsalls call had been recorded reporting a possible UFO sighting.

Hello, thank you for confirming my UFO encounter. The article about the event made it in the local newspaper that week, further confirming my experience. I do not live in Hathern anymore, but I lived there for 9 years, until I moved to South Africa two years ago. Anyway, I heard a deep hovering sound, as if a UFO was above my roof. It actually woke me up because it was so loud. I wakled to te window in the darkness, and saw these bright ornge/red lights dancing, gaining and losing speed at alarming rates, darting from side to side and up and down. The sound was so loud that I was in panic as to what on Earth was going on. But my family were fast asleep. the reason they were oblivous, I feel, is because I had accessed a different dimension to them, where only I could experience the loud hovering noise. To my relief, some others had seen the UFO's which makes me very excited. I haven't been on this website but I am so happy that this incident has been reported. They moved away, but it was almost as though they were there to make contact with people, because I sensed a connection. The noise is just not explainable. I love David Icke! I just had to add that.

This day at about 1 o'clock A.M. central Europe time, I watched the sky. I looked to the north of the sky and I saw some really bright stars. They were much brighter than the other stars and they were blinking. With blinking I mean that the intensity of their brightness altered between normal and bright.

I looked very closely, and they seemed to move around little bit. Not very far distances, but very small distances. But they moved VERY quickly. Sometimes they moved synchronistically. It was five of them. Three of them seemed to move synchronistically at some times. But most of the time, they were moving individually. Just a small, quick move right and back left or so.

Is this a trick of the eye, or could it be that I saw UFO's?

leicester here, just got out the car and saw a blue/white oval fly across the sky over my house. probably saw it for .5 secs and it was gone. first thought was a shooting star but didnt have a tail, and ones i've seen before were not as fast.

People who want to understand how E.T. UFOs may be possible should google (or better not google but Ixquick): for the Hall photon theory by Charles James Hall.
He has already proven around 1998 that Einstein's theory (that overlight speed is allegedly impossible) is erronious.
You can even find a 'Hall science paper B' PDF with the whole scientific explanation online !

Additionally, light speed has been broken through by particles in the LHC in geneva, recently (perhaps the massive orgonite busting there has accelerated particle oscillations...).

every night i see the same moving craft in the sky no matter where i live in the country .. At first many years ago i thought they must be sattelites but not soon after i started seeing them one stopped dead in the sky for a feww minutes then zoomed off the back the other way ...

They appear as the same size as average stars but are moving across the skyline and the orange light ( no they are not chinese lanterns) sometimes expands to make the craft appear at least 10 times bigger ... Sometimes i can see 3 or 4 at once in different locations ... ive tried taking photos and video but its really hard to get detail ...

would be interested to hear if anyone else has seen the same ..

That's how i first noticed it.

Now i get geometric formations of stars (sri yantra) and stars morphing from stars -> blue plasmic balls -> semi-translucent etheric jellyfish.


There's amazing stuff going on around and over our heads.

I also see these 'stars' all the time where i am (south-central New York) and I happened to see a week ago, in the Northeast, an orange lantern type thing and it did
expand when it stopped moving but disappeared instantly as I tried to view it thru
binoculars. Two years ago in early March me and my friend saw a floating city that looked like a million stars clustered together in the shape of a giant domed saucer with
bands of colors across it. The stars were twinkling inside it, but the twinkling was frozen
in time, so to speak. Saw it two nights in a row, in the West, but never again.

If you've got an iphone, an ipad or a laptop, then there are apps/software available, stand outside, face the direction of the object and read off the screen. That's how i started years ago with "stellarium" (free).

The object was on the west side of Zagreb, Croatia, somewhere over Slovenia or Italy, if you want just find Zagreb and pull a straight line west, the object was visible partially because of the clouds, how convinient, also theres been a lot of fog where I live, kinda makes you think that the fog is intentionall so people wouldnt see whats happening over their heads

i stepped outside (southwest uk) and it was towards the north a bright white light came down, was not very large, larger than jupiter in the sky but only by 2x or 3x, came down kinda vertical but was quick and sort of died over the horizon

guessed it was just a bright celestial object

I was outside briefly about 10 minutes ago looking more or less North. Noticed a small cloud in an otherwise cloudless sky, then noticed to the left of it two very faint lines, I have seen condensation trails before, these were tiny, or very far away. The sun is at it's brightest so it must be fairly high up, not out of the atmosphere. Two loops in an area about the same size as a a fingernail held at arm's length, probably smaller. They seemed to hang around for about 30 seconds and seemed to change slightly before vanishing.

First off, one could be fooled into thinking 'yeah that's venus, or the ISS, or a sat etc.,' but then it changes and moves, then, it sounds as if aircraft show up to investigate......

TV documentary after documentary try explain such sightings away, yes we know about 'black projects', yes some sightings can be attributed to such things and yet, still more UFO's show up......

Some observers and commentators, say that in 2012, we will be able to 'tune' into such things more easily, and that the 'veils' will get thinner (between different dimensions?), it does seem that this year and next, solar wind/radiation/sun spots will increase and the planet is vibrating at a different rate, there seems to be a increase in geopathic stress too.....more to come?

We have proof-read, and posted, approximately 600 new written reports to our database, as of this date, our first posting since December 17th. We have proof-read the reports in a somewhat hasty manner this time, so there probably is an abnormally large number of items that we have missed during our survey of the reports. Consequently, we request, as we always do, that visitors to our website keep on the alert for errors and oversights in the newly posted reports and materials.

We have attempted to remove, or label, those reports which we believe describe sightings that are not UFO-related. In addition, we have attempted to detect and remove profanity, personal information, and other objectionable material from all the reports, but we suspect we have not managed to properly detect all of it. If you find what you suspect is an obvious error or oversight, please let us know, and we will address the issue immediately.

Whereas typically, NUFORC has been receiving and posting approximately 10 credible reports per day, in recent months, that volume has increased noticeably. As an example, NUFORC received approximately fifty reports on December 31st, 2011, and approximately sixty on the following day!! Many of those reports were submitted by seemingly quite credible sources, and interestingly, many of them appear to address similar events, i.e. clusters of red-, orange-, or yellow-colored lights.

We invite visitors to our website to scan the reports for December 2011 and January 2012, which will provide them with a good overview of the volume of reports of that nature that we have received recently. In fact, many similar reports can be seen in the data for last summer, an issue we addressed as the phenomenon was occurring last year.

We just received some interesting video of a sighting of orange “fireballs,” apparently seen by a group of young people over Corpus Christi, TX, on the evening of December 28, 2011. We will post this video tomorrow. It is not atypical of the many still photos and video clips of similar objects, which have been forwarded to our Center, over recent months.

If anyone has witnessed one of these events, or had any other type of interesting sighting, we would like to encourage all the witnesses to submit reports, using our Online Report Form, which can be found on this website.

We will be posting more information to our website, in the near future. Most of all, we hope to post soon some guidelines for preparing, and submitting, written sighting reports. There is substantial room for improvement in the quality of reports we typically receive, and we are going to attempt to incorporate a few changes in the reporting process.

Although I havent seen much in the sky (UFO wise) for many years now (although we were constantly over flown, at night, by F-117's, which many of the uninitiated in these parts thought were UFO's, we have had various sightings hereabouts over the years - Wilts. UK) and as we are amongst numerous military bases, we are surrounded by aircraft a lot of the time (also on skylane/flight path), we now have a FLIP video camera for instant /easy access and filming, it is 720 (HD ready) and a digital zoom (silent), time will tell if we get to use it/if it works - it's on standby though.....

Tempe, AZ, January 20, 2012 --(PR.com)-- Chilean Air Force General (Ret.) Ricardo Bermúdez, Director of Chile’s official Committee for the Study of Aerial Anomalous Phenomena (CEFAA) will address the International UFO Congress in Fountain Hills, AZ this February. This is the first time ever in the USA when a high-ranking military officer who runs an official government sponsored UFO project talks about the subject at a conference open to the general public.

“This is an incredibly exciting opportunity for us,” says conference co-organizer Maureen Elsberry, “this is the first time in the U.S. that such a high-ranking government official has spoken to the public about an official government sponsored UFO project. It shows how serious other countries take the subject of UFOs. It's something they feel is worthy of official investigation.”

General Bermúdez served as commander of the Third Air Brigade in southern Chile, Director of the Technical School of Aeronautics, Deputy Director of the Air Force Academy, and Air Attaché in London. He became Director of CEFAA shortly after Chile’s Directorate of Civil Aviation created this office in 1997.

CEFAA collects UFO cases mostly from commercial and military pilots. “The policy of CEFAA is to pursue solid cases with adequate scientific data,” stated Gen. Bermúdez, “but only if there is an indication that the safety of the aircraft might have been at risk.”

Gen. Bermúdez will outline the history, methodology and some of the best cases collected by CEFAA up to now. He is also expected to make an announcement about the need for an exchange of UFO data among different countries and between official and civilian research groups, to better understand this puzzling phenomenon.

“The CEFAA’s official position has always been to recognize that something is happening in our skies, but we, as yet, do not know what it is,” he said.

A video uploaded by La Tercera, Chile’s largest daily newspaper, containing several clips of audio communications between pilots and air traffic controllers released by the Chilean government’s Committee for the Study of Aerial Anomalous Phenomena (Spanish acronym CEFAA), was recently picked up by several American and international UFO websites.

The material was actually released back in late January 2011 by CEFAA under the Transparency Law and the full audio communications of four UFO cases were posted in CEFAA’s own website shortly thereafter.

I outlined the history and background of CEFAA in the current issue of Open Minds magazine in the article “South American Governments Open New Official UFO Agencies,” which also covers the Uruguayan Air Force project CRIDOVNI and Peru’s OIFAA.

A second part covering the recent launching of the Argentinean Air Force commission CEFAE and the official studies undertaken in Brazil and Ecuador will be published in the next issue of Open Minds. It looks like most of South America is currently taking a very proactive official and publicly open effort to tackle UFOs.

The tape from La Tercera is a bit confusing since the cases are not titled or dated, and so I had to figure it out based on my own first-hand knowledge of Chilean ufology. I also contacted by email Gustavo Rodríguez, a retired air traffic controller (ATC) who is CEFAA’s Executive Secretary, to clarify some details. I’ve known Mr. Rodríguez for several years and I interviewed him once at length in the late 1990s during a trip to Santiago.

The video begins with a case known as “Eco Inka” registered in the northern city of Arica back in 1997, which is important because it was one of the incidents that triggered the creation of CEFAA later that year. The CEFAA website gives the following summary of this case:

“On April 2, 1997, at 21 hours local time, an aircraft from the Chilean Army was doing a nighttime instrumental test flight in the Chacalluta Airport in Arica. When contacted by the controller, who was receiving several phone calls from the city, the pilot responded that he could see a light to the west that was changing position at high speed.” Here are the relevant excerpts from the audio communication:

TOWER: Sir, from your position, can you observe toward the sector of Chuño Hill an object somewhat different from normal?

AIRCRAFT: From my position apparently I am not seeing anything unusual… Now I have an object approximately at 3 o’clock from my position, I estimate a light which is a little bit higher than the last lights of the city [Arica].

TOWER: Received, could you describe the type of light?

AIRCRAFT: Uh…now it disappeared! It looked similar to the yellow lights of the city… now it appeared again, but more forward… it disappeared again…

TOWER: Received, we have received different [phone] calls saying that in that sector there was an Unidentified Flying Object. We want to be alerted of any report.

AIRCRAFT: Look, it was incredible, I hadn’t seen it, but it really changed position very fast, I had the opportunity of seeing it.

The Tobalaba case;

Most of the video posted by La Tercera is devoted to a case reported in an airfield in the Santiago suburb of Tobalaba. The video doesn’t provide a date and an article published in the newspaper La Tercera on January 29, 2011, gives a dates of October 1990. However, this is incorrect, according to the email from Gustavo Rodríguez. The CEFAA website gives the following summary of the Tobalaba case:

“In the year of 1978, a round object which reflected the morning sunlight was observed by the personnel of the control tower of the Eulogio Sánchez airfield in Tobalaba. After making circular movements to the east of the airfield, the object landed in the side of the hill located in front of the airfield. In the next minute the unidentified object took off and disappeared at great speed toward the northwest.”

The video utilized a UFO footage which seemed to correspond to what was being described by the pilot and air traffic controller. I was surprised because I was familiar with this case and wasn’t aware that it was supposed to include clear daytime UFO footage, so I checked with Gustavo Rodríguez. He responded that the footage was not part of the CEFAA files and did nor correspond to the 1978 Tobalaba case.

It was provided by a friend of a CEFAA advisor from a collection of hundreds of UFO footages from around the world to illustrate the case because it was somewhat similar in terms of terrain and shape of the object. At this time, the man has not been able to find it again so that we don’t know when and where it was taken.

I any case, here are some relevant excerpts of the audio communications of the Tobalaba case:

TOWER: Tobalaba Terminal, I am reporting that we have in front in the direction of the mountains a round craft lit with the sun moving north, in a slow trajectory toward the north.

AIRCRAFT: Correct, can you repeat the information?

TOWER: Affirmative, a round object lit with the sun over Tobalaba with a slow displacement toward the north.

AIRCRAFT: Can you confirm the approximate altitude?

TOWER: I estimate around eight to nine thousand feet.

AIRCRAFT: Correct, received, keep me informed.

TOWER: OK! Now it’s moving toward the south, in a southern direction and making ascending and descending circles… slow, now it’s gaining speed.

AIRCRAFT: Thanks.

TOWER: A glider, I’m afraid it’s not, it’s not an airplane either because it developed very high speeds, at times very slow, it descended and ascended rapidly and now at this moment it’s landing on the side of a small bank of a hill.

This is undoubtedly an important case because of the following factors: it happened in daytime; there were multiple witnesses including qualified air traffic controllers at a Chilean airfield; the object changed trajectory and speed several times; the object landed nearby and then took off very rapidly.

There was no official UFO investigation in Chile at the time of the Tobalaba case in 1978. Gustavo Rodríguez, in fact, was one of the pioneers who encountered several pilot cases in the course of his long career as an ATC. He began collecting them on his own and by the mid-1980s published two landmark articles in Información Aeronáutica, the official magazine of Chile’s General Directorate of Civil Aviation (DGAC, the equivalent to our FAA), urging ATCs throughout the country to preserve any tape where UFOs were reported. His efforts paid off in 1997 when he was named Executive Secretary of CEFAA, an agency which is under the DGAC, and then regained his position when the committee was reactivated in 2009.

In the January 29 article in the newspaper La Tercera, Rodríguez explained that “we are worried when the phenomenon occurs within our controlled airspace and it manifests very close to an aircraft.” That was the case indeed of the third audio excerpt posted by La Tercera—a near collision case with the Chilean Air Line (LAN) flight 045 at the El Tepual airport in the southern city of Puerto Montt in 1988. We provided excerpts of this tape in a previous article in this website, discussing the release of the book Ufología Aeronáutica by Captain Rodrigo Bravo of the Chilean Army, in which this case was analyzed by the military officer.

Again, we have a fascinating multiple-witness case involving qualified ATC personnel and airline pilots. The pilot of LAN flight 045 almost freaks out in the tape when he says, “listen, I have an airplane, I have a light here in front, right on our flight path!” The controller looks out of the window and can clearly see “a white light coming to the airport from the north,” following it for about 5 minutes.

He described it at one point, “I had the impression that this lower part was flat and with a metallic aspect; I estimate that it was circular and with a diameter of about 60 meters.”

Did anyone see the silver orb flying over central London today about 1pm??? Moving in and out of low moving smokey type clouds, silent, it was creating wing wash vertices in the clouds as it was moving. At first i thought it was a seagul or a ballon but it was hovering and moving backwards and forwards. And seaguls or ballons do not create vortices in the clouds! This was the type of thing I was seeing in the clouds. There were no planes overhead either. Could it have been a uav/drone maybe????

This is the only thread I feel suitable instead of a new one in Today's News, but around 9:45ish (It was so fantastic I forgot to look at my watch, but I got home around 10:00PM.
I was walking down Leasowe Road away from Wallasey Village when an old man across the street began shouting "Look up! Look at the sky!" or something, I turned around and saw a couple walking to the off licence stop and look up and I did the same and saw basically what could be described as a comet shape just dying out after shining bright orange with dark markings in lines across it's shape. Unless that was the effect of the burning as I am sure from the ground I could make out it was patterned. I watched it across the sky until it fades out. Suppose I'm an idiot for getting confused over a Chinese firework. But this lasted ages. If it's military they've got them silent. And what a quiet place to test drive, the Wirral before 10PM on a Saturday night?

An American witness inside U.S. Marine Corps Base Camp Leatherneck, Afghanistan, reports there were many people watching a series of "seven equally spaced lights" in the sky that appeared and reappeared during one evening, according to recent testimony from the Mutual UFO Network (MUFON) witness reporting database.

"We were all in our office on Camp Leatherneck when we were told to come outside and see these really cool lights in the sky," the witness stated.

There were many witnesses to the event.

"I know that all of my friends on Facebook that were with us saw the same thing. They were up there long enough that people were leaving."

The lights were hovering in place, but they disappeared and reappeared again.

"They were up there for a long time without moving. They went away for a while and then came back. They didn't move or blink or make any noise. They looked like they were really high up but there was nothing to base that on. Pretty cool event."

Good doc, james. Watching it now...I resonate with Dolan, Jacobs and Turner, all of whom appear to be solid, truthful researchers. I need to read their books. I especially appreciate Turner's refutation that the abduction experience might be a positive gesture by 'good' aliens. Kidnapping and nonconsensual procedures are not part of positive agendas.

We in Exopolitics Denmark, had the pleasure of having Gary Heseltine on a visit to Denmark in November 2011. He gave presentations in Odense and Copenhagen about his UFO research and his database PRUFOS (Police Reporting UFO Sightings). This is a large collection of English police officer's UFO sightings from 1901-2011. He runs the database as a hobby alongside his work as a police officer in England.

Two of us, in Brentwood Essex UK, between 8-and 11 pm tonight, saw what at first we thought was a plane or a helicopter hovering very very high over the a12, it must have been high because planes where flying under it..

It was quite far away, and hard to see - but it remained stationary for a good 2 hours giving off constant red, blue, white and the occasional green flash..

we thought it must be a star, but it didnt seem right and the object seemed to change shape from a disc to a diamond when the lights flashed, the lights flashing seemed very uniform.

It remained static against the backdrop of the garden for about 2 hours, then moved quite clickly up and left and after a while back down and right...

Tried to get a picture - but the camera couldnt see it.

any ideas? -- Space Station, pulsing star... anyone else see anything similar?

Here is a weird spiral something(?) a friend of me photographed 4th April.
Just outside Bergen, Norway.
It was like a fast growing black spiral, it started as a straight line and suddenly vaporized very fast but it lasted in 15 minutes!
The orange glow at the far right end of it is the sun rising up in the background.

Here is a nasa iss timelapse photography video. I was trying to upload my own video that I stitched together but was having youtube problems, but this video has some that I wanted to show anyway. I love these videos anyway but I always focused on looking at the earth, then I started to focus on the stars and was amazed by how many unidentifed objects there were. I'm sure many of them can be explained as shooting stars or satellites, but maybe not all of them. Watch the video in HD and fullscreen as many of them are very faint, but the more you watch it the more you'll see.
The video section that starts at 40secs has at least 7, mainly on the right side, the next section has a cluster of 3 far right side. Make of it what you will. The videos are all from here

We are, according to the ancients, in a 3,700 yr +/-, solar sunspot/flare peak, so I am led to believe, modern scientists didnt predict such.

Are these UFO's something to do with this?

Are they making it a self fulfilling prophecy?

Do they cause sunspot/flare activety?

Is there a correllation with their 'visits' to the sun and the increase in such solar activity??

According to those - with 'clearance' - NASA have been doctoring photos of the sun for some time and mostly because of UFO activity!

Of course it doesn't take a genius to see where NASA learnt its craft, especially after project paperclip and the acquisition of key personnel (rocket scientists) and their involvement in various NASA projects...:eek::eek:

Some experts disagree with me, yet, I believe that this stuff goes back to the Nazis - in particular Prof. Haushofer et al. - and their quest for Agharti etc. and the second coming of the 'King of the Earth'. It is probably even older than that, by several 1000's of years or more.

Interestingly it seems that Alastair Crowley's 'guardian angel/spirit guide' ('Aiwass'), when drawn by AC, looks like one of the 'greys' that Strieber et al have described...

saw something odd tonight, with girlfriend on a Ghost Bus Tour, it parked up the top by Carisbrooke castle about 9:40 and whilst everybody was looking at the castle, Maria and I were taken by some lights, ahead of us (on a clock between 12 and 3) One bright one, another dived up under it bright, top one went missing, two appeared to the left, first one went missing, other two did a zig zag, went missing..

then to the left two appeared, one bright, one below not as much, they swapped positions, both went bright. one appeared north of them, bright, zig zagged, middle one went missing, all then went missing.

We looked at each other and said "Fuck"

Definitely not normal. We have seen some glowing orbs a lot recently, pink, red, orange etc but this was different and these were moving. My GF is becoming open minded recently...

The dots show the position we saw each set.

Interesting, thank you for the reply. I was completely shocked by what I had seen.. a few doubters said it was lanterns when I mentioned it. I have seen lanterns before, these were NOT, they were differing colours, moving fast, fading and glowing, zig zagging, going away then coming back miles apart.

Definitely something Alien, we're heading back there Friday night.

I have only seen black ops and 'traditional' UFO's myself, yet the colours and multiples seem to be on the increase along with solar radiation/flares and the UFO's near to the sun....etc. 2012 is a 'special' year for lots of reasons, some obvious and some not so...
