Hi there. I was hoping you'd help me out with a small problem. I have a friend who is struggling with urinary tract infection. She has the illness recurring and is currently using cranberry juice to relieve the pain, yet, it is not an effective remedy. Also, she's pregnant and in a months time she'll be breatfeeding a little daughter.

I was wondering if you could be so kind to give me a pointer to any alternative remedy that she could undergo that is safe both for her and the baby?

Much appriciated,

Peace

EDIT: She has a strong disdain for western medicine and earlier attempts to find remedy using penicillion and other anti-biotics from the school-medicine quacks have ot resulted in success.

I had a recurring UTI that could didn't clear up with antibiotics, it turned out that I had a massive kidney stone, the infections only cleared up after the stone had been completely removed. It took 2 operations, sound wave treatment, I had a stent in for months and had recurring infections untill all the bits of stone were gone. It took about a year to get it all sorted.

I tried the cranberry juice and tablets, they did nothing for me.
Your friend needs to find out what is causing her infections, she needs the doctor to do tests and she needs to know if she is getting blood, glucose or protein in her urine which could indicate kidney problems. UTI's should not be treated lightly and left, I speak from experience!
