The car closest to the beast doesn't seem to react which could indicate a fake.

I thought the same thing. Perhaps he didn't have time to react, or wasn't concentrating, or saw it at the last second and realised braking could be dangerous? He might even have been on the phone :D

Looks very CG to me. When its leaping the middle guard rails, its decent is so unnatural and very forced looking. Plus look mentioned before the motorist would of taped their brakes or did a mini freak out. I have never seen anyone traveling on the highway, not freak out a little by a deer(or other animal) Unless it jumped right in front of them and impacted.
