I've been meaning to post this for some time. In short it's just an account of an out of body experiance I had some time ago where I found my self in a place I should not be, the Underworld.
It happened while under the influence of hallucinogens.
It started with the sensation of falling, actually falling through and out of my body. The feeling was mild and slow at first but then speed up and intensified. All of a sudden I found myself slipping through something in a kind of downward motion (space-time?).
I opened my eyes and was faced with an amazing sight. I was in an entire new world, a dark world in what can only be described as a massive cave like structure. This world was filled with creatures like dwarfs, elfs, witches and other mythological creatures and a massive water fall that spouted from the top of the cave. The water fall was the source of a glowing river (the river of life?) that flowed throughout the entire world.The river glowed and I could see the source of the glow was from tiny balls of light that the river was made off.
I looked to my right and saw a women who looked like a witch stood there looking at me. She said "You shouldn't be here" and looked quite suprissed. She took my hand and said "come on, follow me, we have to get you out of here".
She took my hand and started leeding me somewhere. All around me I could see all the diffrent creatures working with the river. There was one group who looked like angels, who took balls of light from the river and suspended them in the air. They shined like stars in the sky providing light for the entire world.
I asked the women what this river was, she replied "it's the river of life, it contains all the souls that pass from your world". She then said "It's our job to make sure the river flows back to your world" pointing to point in the distance where flowed into a giant tree that grew up and beyond the ceilling (the tree of life?).
The next thing I know, I'm back in my body.
I need to explain that it is quite difficult to recall all the fine details (as I'm sure anyone else who's had a similar vision can agree)
Anyway, just thought I would share this with everyone as I feel this was a real place I visited.
Feel free to ask any questions, I'll do my best to answer them If I can.

- What substance were you using? Dosage? Approx. time of onset ----> "peak" (the time where your other-worldy experience felt the most real, I guess) ----> come-down/come-back
- Was there some sort of afterglow from having this experience induced by that hallucinogen?
- Have you felt that this taught you something new, or that it confirmed something which you already knew of (or at least had understood in an intellectual manner)?
- If you were to put this place and its atmosphere on some spectrum/scale over good/evil, which one did it feel like the most (more to the evil side, or more towards the good)?
(With a name like "the underworld" it sounds rather gloomy and bad, but the experience in itself sounds like a positive one to me... :confused:)

That's totally interesting.
I had a dream last night about the underworld. I was more like a vision. There were beings that looked similar to humans, but they are not from here, they were kinda Viking like. They showed me their homeworld, which is a very dark, cold place, and there were lots of dinosaurs and dragons. They are not benevolent though, very brutal and warlike, and they have no respect for women at all. They said the earth has always been ruled by the underworld, and every important public person has been replaced by one of them. I mean, the soul of the original person, politician or religious leader, is cast out and the body is overtaken by someone from the underworld.
It's a bit hard to explain, but it was a fascinating dream and I wanted to share it.

Sorry for the slow responce, in answer to your question.
It was a combination of weed and LSD.
How did the place feel (negative, positive),
It had a dark feel to the place, more on the negative side I would say but the overall feeling was the place was nessesery, as in nessesery for our world to exist.
There was an order about the place, like everyone was working together for the same goal.
One thing I've been thinking about recently is the possabilty this world was entirley made from souls that co-exist within me. If you think about it, we're all made from a plethora of single-celled organisams. These organisams should have their very own soul. So I may have just gone within myself.
And of course there is always the chance I'm just some mad f**k who took one too many liquorish allsorts.
I've not thought about this experiance for quite some time but do feel it has some importance, just another piece of the jig-saw so to speak.

One thing I've been thinking about recently is the possabilty this world was entirley made from souls that co-exist within me. If you think about it, we're all made from a plethora of single-celled organisams. These organisams should have their very own soul. So I may have just gone within myself.

Therefore making everyone else expressions with, or interactions of, yourself!

Yep, that's what I was thinking. Of course I could be wrong and it may have been a real world I visited.
Has anyone else had any experiances like this one, I would be interested in finding out.

IF you were in the lower realms of the astral you would have met Christians not witches. Witches do not believe in hell so certainly would not seek out the lower realms feeling they deserved punishment for their "sins" in the last life.
By the way what does a "witch" look like?
