It will cause the end of life as we know it.

[tongue in cheek]This has absolutely nothing to do with the fact dark energy means their equations of the universe don't balance out due to their denial of zero point energy.[/tongue in cheek]

Cordial Felicitations Baron Von Lotsov:
Not to worry! :)
Father Yahwweh and His Loyalist Malakim are on the job, and keeping the functioning of the Cosmos quite orderly. According to His Plan.
Without Their assistance, we would have been Clobbered by big Space Rocks along Time ago.
Suave Sieto! & Kind Regards: Snoopsnuffleopagus

I don't think the universe is going to end because of a few scientists looking at it. I doubt the foundations of reality would be that unstable.
In my opinion it's just The Daily Mail doing it's bit of feeding fear and doubt into the masses. I'd say observing The Daily Mail is more dangerous than observing dark matter.

From the same newspaper;
Serena Williams has a tights malfunction - on a night out with her new man
Tennis champ Serena Williams obviously didn't plan on being caught by the snapper's lens, or she probably wouldn't have chosen to be photographed while wearing a ropey old laddered pair of tights.
:rolleyes:

I think it is bullshit as well but I just posted it to show you lot what the academics think in the absences of any proper theories. They confuse the macro with the micro in my opinion.
