What music has helped you along this path. Personally what kicked it all off for me was 'The Nephilim' by Fields of the Nephilim. Without them I wouldn't be where I am now. They started the journey which led me to working with Dave. Thank you guys.
Also, what books. Mine was 'Alien Liason' by Timothy Good. I met him in London. He's a lovely chap. Without that book I'd still be putting files away in the tax office for a living.

Cordial Felicitations John Peters:
Around the age of 5, I saw my first Flamenco Troupe.
Changed my DNA!
Led to decades of Study of the Segovia Technique, a benign Cult.
Led to many wonderful experiences.
"Le Catedral de la Gaetan" (flamenco guitar instrumental) is said to contain the Mathematical Equation of Infinity
Music is Therapeutic.
1/2 Hour of Mozart, Vivaldi, etc. = 20mg Valium > John Hopkins University
Book: The Mozart Effect.

for many years i've been a fan of The Doors and have always thought there was more to Jims death than meets the eye, I also believe in his way, he was trying to 'warn' the people of the elite leaders, and when i used to listen to 'The American Prayer' i was always inspired.
Now after becoming a member here in an attempt to gather info on his death I have learnt/awakened to a lot of other things that i never imagined that have put in my eyes the American Prayer album into more prespective as to what Jims message was and a clear message within it that he was NOT interested in joining (Jim had a special way of controlling the crowds)..
He was the lizard king.. and too dangerous due to shaman influence
this is just the title track The Doors - An American Prayer (but i suggest listening to the whole album as one story)
Do you know the warm progress under the stars?
Do you know we exist?
Have you forgotten the keys to the Kingdom?
Have you been borne yet &are you alive?
Let's reinvent the gods, all the myths of the ages
Celebrate symbols from deep elder forests
[Have you forgotten the lessons of the ancient war]
We need great golden copulations
The fathers are cackling in trees of the forest
Our mother is dead in the sea
Do you know we are being led to slaughters by placid admirals
& that fat slow generals are getting obscene on young blood
Do you know we are ruled by T.V.
The moon is a dry blood beast
Guerilla bands are rolling numbers in the next block of green vine
amassing for warfare on innocent herdsmen who are just dying
O great creator of being grant us one more hour to perform our art &perfect our lives
The moths &atheists are doubly divine &dying
We live, we die &death not ends it
Journey we more into the Nightmare
Cling to life our passion'd flower
Cling to c**ts & c*cks of despair
We got our final vision by clap
Columbus' groin got filled w/ green death
(I touched her thigh &death smiled)
We have assembled inside this ancient &insane theatre
To propagate our lust for life &flee the swarming wisdom of the streets
The barns are stormed
The windows kept &only one of all the rest
To dance & save us
W/ the divine mockery of words
Music inflames temperament
(When the true King's murderers are allowed to roam free a 1000 magicians arise in the land)
Where are the feasts
we were promised
Where is the wine
The New Wine
(dying on the vine)

Well, music has always been the deepest of inspirations for me since I was a kid. I compose and am a pianist. You can check out my stuff in the signature as well as my influences (listed in descending order for the most part).

Without that book I'd still be putting files away in the tax office for a living.
Oh dear. You needed the change then.
The best music for me is natures finest. I'm definately more in tune with myself when I have no man made sounds around me, not talking music here. The sounds we get from living crammed together in big cities isn't right.
Good thread JohnP:)

Musically it has to be Tom Waits, Rufus Wainwright, Jim Morrison, Ian Brown, Thom Yorke and a few others I can't remember off the top of my head.. Simply because imo they are musical geniuses and don't adhere to the norm..

Amen to that.
Right now a stonking new track from Eat Static called Tractor Beam. Beautiful bass, beats and melody.

"Gypsy Song""C'est Maria Callas, C'est Moi"
Who said it?
Bizet. Maria Callas - "Gypsy Song" - YouTube
Callas is the only Opera singer I ever heard who can open her throat on the lower notes and make your hair stand on the back of your neck.
Other Divas seem to be afraid of opening the throat and allowing the emotion out. Callas is King!.

Qué absurda idea... Solo podía ocurrirsele a una cantante de ópera decimonónica. Una chapuza absoluta en la que sobra evidentemente Bartoli.

Dural, This was very original and interesting, agreed. When I read this on the side panel of my monitor whilst listening to another aria, I was confused, but see what you captured. Neat.
