Apart from Germany. The seat of Protestantism.

And France. Law of seperation between church and state.

And Britain. Largely Protestant nation

And Holland/Denmark/Belgium et al. Largely Protestant.

Which leaves (amongst others, but I can't be arsed getting out an atlas);

Italy. self explainatory, but economic basket case.

Spain/Portugal. Catholic. But economy dependant on tourism. And not very strong.

Greece. Not too keen on the Pope. Orthadox.

Poland/Bulgaria/Romania/any other former Russian sattelite of your choice. Catholic - Economy utterly dire.

Ireland. catholic and strong economy


Apart from the fact that culturally and economically most of the nations there have no reason to cede any sovereignty to the Vatican, these are good points and well made. ;)

(Malta is not in the EU BTW).

Island nations to join eurozone

Two Mediterranean island states, Cyprus and Malta, begin using the single European currency on 1 January.

Banks will be closed in both countries to mark the New Year, but most cash machines have been prepared to dispense euros in time for the switchover.

Cyprus and Malta will add just 1.2 million people to the number of Europeans using the currency.

But they will have equal voting rights with the other 13 eurozone members at the European Central Bank.

Careful preparations

Both island nations have prepared for the changeover extensively.

In Cyprus 300,000 currency converters were sent to households, while in Malta a euro telephone hotline has been running alongside 59 "euro centres".

The switchover in Cyprus will highlight the decades-old division between the south and the Turkish-controlled north of the island.

The Turkish lira remains the primary currency in northern Cyprus, which is outside the European Union and is recognised only by Turkey.

Aware of the previous experiences of some other eurozone members, Cyprus and Malta are watching retailers to ensure they do not use the changeover to round up their prices, contributing to inflation.

The Cypriot government has urged companies to round their prices down, while Malta has signed 12 price stabilisation agreements with importers, which will last until March 2008.

Both the Maltese lira and the Cyprus pound will be legal tender until the end of January.

Commercial banks in Malta will exchange Maltese lira into euros free of charge until the end of March, and the central bank will allow exchange of lira notes until 2018.

In Cyprus, euros can be exchanged free of charge until the end of June and the central bank will allow exchange of pound notes until 2017.

This is going to be happening at the end of february early march (wonder how many news channels it will be broadcast on!!!)

This is an important event in the life of the Society of Jesus. We expect to elect a new Superior General as Fr. General Peter-Hans Kolvenbach will be submitting his resignation at the Congregation. He was elected General in the 33rd General Congregation in 1983, which I was also privileged to attend as the Provincial at that time. Traditionally, Jesuit Superior Generals are elected for life and Fr. Kolvenbach is the first to be able to resign according to new norms established in the 31st General Congregation in the 1960s. The election is expected to occur in the early part of GC 35. After the election, the General Congregation will meet to discuss important concerns in the life and mission of the Society of Jesus. We do not know how long this will take, but present estimates are that it will go to the end of February or early March.

Fr' Elias Royon Lara I presume. The Superior General is the boss but his assistancy in reality is more powerful than him as they are the many. Nothing different to company boardroom stuff. What good is an eighty eight year old man at a time of great important. He's been the General since 1983 and done his time, would you want to work when you're 88? No of course not and Jesuits do work, theys why they are who they are.

In Britain, The Queen to me has failed in her Oath to Protect the Church of England and the Principles of Protestantism! Just this last 48 hours have we had a public announcement from the Archbishop telling us how certain aspects of other faiths will have to be converted into the new British Culture.

I really do fear that the Muslims in Britain although being given new rights, Left-Right and center at this moment, Will one day be targets for future Governments, In the minds of Roman Catholics, Muslims are nothing but inferior beings.

If real British Protestants can stand up and hold onto our country, Then the agenda to form the universal church will be put on hold once more.

Tain't no surprise that Vatican mischief is at the heart of the EU. (Mind you, the vatican is just convenient tool for the manipulators as it provides a direct link to the ancient world. If it suited them they could just as easily use American Christian Patriotism, Extreme Jihad Islam or Dogmatic Communist Atheism, among others)

The outer image ain't very important as long as it ticks the right boxes as a vehicle for control.

How is the pope the head of the political and economic systems of the EU?

The fact is that most of the EU countries are predominently catholic, so yes he is the spiritual head of the majority of Eu citizens, but that means nothing in real terms. If a lot of EU countries were Muslim then the top Imam would be then man, whoever that would be, but unless it means something to you then it is meaningless.
The Queen of England is the head of the Church of England but what does that mean to UK citizens? to almost everybody it means absolutely nothing and the fact that it means nothing to most people means there is no power in it.

I was reading through an article on the Black Pope (Jesuit General) and the Council of Trent (1565, where the counter reformation was launched to gain back the spiritual and temporal, ie. political, power of the Church). It was a Spectrum interview, I think, with the author of Vatican Assassins and it made some facinating points.

It portrays the Jesuits as a military order (similar to the various Knights orders) that was set up to masquerade as a religious order and infiltrate target countries to destablise them in preparation for restoration of Papal power. It's familiar pyramid stuff with an unofficial professed or illuminised stream at the top who are aware of the real agenda while the majority just do as their told believing it's all for the greater glory of God.

The 300 years or so history leading up to the beginning of the 20th century is covered and every major conflict in that time can be shown to have some Jesuit connection, right from the 30 years war and french Revolution up to the Bolshevicks and WW 1 and 2. Napoleon, Marx, Stalin were all connected to the Jesuits and they've been connected to a document that's an earlier version of the Protocols of the learned elders of Zion, except it was 100 years earlier and used as propaganda to attack a "heretical" Protestant sect in France. It seems they like to accuse their victims (Protestants, Jews, etc) of using the exact tactics and agenda that they themselves have pursued since the 16th century.

There was also an video on ihuman.tv where they are accused of wanting to come up with a new astrological calender for some reason. They changed the sabbath from saturday to sunday and the new year from March to January. (That's why the names of the months are screwy, sept(7)ember, oct(8)ober etc. They used to be the seventh and eighth months in the year when people counted from March as New Year) This was done by Jesuit puppet Pope Gregory IX just 15 years after the Council of Trent in 1582 and that's why our calender is called the Gregorian calender. 2012 promotor Aurgelles argues that its healthier to follow natural time, ie. lunar cycles, equinoxes and solstices, cos it's more in sync with the rhythms of the planet. And the Spring Equinox is around the 21st of ....March [!] each year.

The details of their activities up to the present are pretty sketchy since they've had so long to perfect their techniques; they use proxies and trusted third parties to hold their money so they look poor, and to do their dirty work so they look innocent. They are basically the prototype for all modern intelligence agencies. And could be still in charge them given the vast number of Knights of Malta (loyal to the Pope) who have held top positions in the CIA (Bill Donovon, J Peter Grace etc).

So it's quite possible that the Pope rules the EU, or at least a future Pope will rule a completed European Super state as a Re-Unified Holy Roman Empire as was the stated aim of the counter reformation at the Council of Trent!
