He MUST return so I may rejoice in his delightful torment as we devour a mountain of buttery popcorn and goober-peas while we behold the magnifigance of my latest celluloid masterpiece.

I can almost hear his butthole clenching, already. :p

With exception to the movie "Jaws"... (...greatest film ever made, aside from "The Gable Film")..... I'm not a big fan of Speilberg.

The CONCEPT sounds like fun, though.

Hi Mike

Glad to hear you're almost finished with the new film. I'll be interested to see the results.

As for SOL, I think to get his attention you should create a thread clearly entitled 'Gable Film 3' once you have uploaded the video.

Best,

Shankers

I apologize unreservedly if this film keeps you awake at night, trembling nervously in fear....... you'll get over it, in time.

Just keep repeating to yourself.....

..... "It's only a movie... it's only a movie... it's only a movie........."

Seemed more of a British type of humor to me, it was funny though. Shankers should find it funny.

Yes,....... Monty Python and Benny Hill meet Godzilla. :p

(Jackie Chan was busy,..... but Godzilla was available. He really is a nice guy, all that "Tokyo Demolition and Devastation" stuff is all just special-effects movie magic). :D

September 2nd... I'll be at the theatre.

I'm kicking myself hard for not writing the script for the upcoming film... "Apollo 18". :(

And are you an active participant in Michigan's Medical Marijuana Laws? Lol

I'm definately a proponent for it's legalization,..... despite the fact that I haven't touched it since 1988.

I began partying when I was twelve. Drinking, smoking, a few other variables mixed within there also..... but I quit drinking when I turned 21, I quit smoking cigarettes in 1996, and I haven't touched a doobie since I was 18.

Now it's just Coca-Cola and Little Debbie Swiss Cake Rolls. :D

Life is short enough,... I find no reason to shorten it more by sedating myself to the point that I don't remember what happened last night. (Besides..... it's much more fun to party SOBER and watch all the inebriated folk make asses of themselves). :p

At work,..... we have a large first-aid kit that is maintained professionally. Soon after the law that legalized medicinal marijuana became effective, I had placed a big baggie of oregano in the first-aid kit with a sticker on it which read..."For Medicinal Use, ONLY". The look on the lady's face was PRICELESS when she came by to re-stock the first-aid kit!!!

I should've gotten it on video.

Apollo 18 wasn't really good. They went to the moon and got infected with crabs.

don coyote

"The gable Film" was better. (And cheaper to make).

But still..... they left AMPLE room for controversy. And if it's done well... they could follow this up with several REAL horror-type films based on the Apollo 18 footage.

This first film could be the beginning of a blockbuster series. (Especially if they get ME to direct).

I knoooow I'm still lamenting that he went inactive. I almost posted to you about it (to whine) I almost messaged you about it (cos I thought you would miss SOL too). I enjoyed having SOL around here :"(

He had great stuff to discuss and he was a top class arguer and presenter.

Ah, you made me laugh right from the deepness of me belly. Maybe he got a girlfriend, or got married to someone who wouldn't think the same of him if she thought he leaned in these directions if ya know what I mean. One never knows. I wish he'd show though

I have been wanting to find this again so long and finally just did.

"Stephen King wrote in Danse Macbre that the most fearful things are the monsters behind the door or under the bed that you don't see. That's how it is with 'The Legend.' The dogman is never portrayed as actively violent. He's never killed anything in a predatory way. When the song speaks about the farmer 'slumped over his plow with dog tracks all around,' it's left to the listener's imagination what happened. The same way with the four horse team that 'died of fright.' The dogman didn't kill them - the fear of him did."

That's an important thing to know and for everyone to keep in mind. It may save your life one day. :)

That's a big part of why the movie "Jaws" came across so well.

.....You KNEW it was a shark they were fighting, but all you got to see was a couple of barrels that the boat was chasing. You didn't really get to see the shark until the end of the movie..... even though it was ALWAYS THERE, eating people. It was underwater, so you never got to see it. You only had to IMAGINE it under there, to be afraid of it.

(That wasn't as planned..... it was numerous catastrophic mechanical failures that kept you from seeing the shark until the end of the film..... but it worked SO WELL in Speilberg's favor... only after-the-fact can he appreciate just how BADLY that movie turned out. It turned out so good because it turned out so BAD).

In my opinion...... the greatest motion picture of all time.

(And completely by accident).

(George Lucas never suffered from seasickness from making "Star Wars",..... that's why it makes the #2 spot).
