My ex just told me my former nehpew in law passed away today. He was a soldier. He did two tours in Iraq and was going to Afghanistan on his next. He did not die fighting. He died because of it. He simply could not see anyone else get hurt or hurt another.

I have the gift to see through my daughter's innocent eyes the wonder and beauty of this world while being surrounded in love. How many families are heartbroken because of war, because of greed, because of hate. Why?

My heart is broken daily watching the news. How many of us will it take to be broken before we decide its enough. I'm tired of seeing pain and loss across the world. It doesn't have to be this way.

I don't believe in much anymore but I do believe that love is more than enough. Love and empathy.

I'm done participating in a system that perpetuates violence and exploitation. I'm done holding a protest sign sponsored by a corporation. I'm done voting in one charade after another. I don't have alot and I don't know a lot but I have my heart. My heart says enough.

Thanks for letting me rant.

*hug* Many of us feel the same way even though we are not dealing with the raw pain of grief.

I think ozpixie was right, many of us feel that way, even if we haven't lost someone due to the events going on. I'm sorry for your families loss.

Thank you. I was so upset last night. I needed a space to grieve aloud.

Russia was broken up because they picked a fight with the Afghans. America will follow.
