My first post

In 1986 when I was 26 years old, I met a girl called Diane, we started a relationship, and with in a few weeks I had moved in with her, the problem was that she was very possessive and very jealous of other women, so much so that I could not have the media or other outside influences in her apartment what so ever. Television, radio, newspapers, magazines were all out of the question, mind you we did spend a lot of the time in bed together, we had very little contact with the outside world including friends and family, no work just her and me together 24/7. After seven months our relationship had run its course so we decided to split up, I moved out of her apartment and back in with my parents.

After about six weeks of living with Diane I noticed the voices from the television and the outside world were leaving my head, and after about ten weeks the voices had almost completely stopped.

They say that people with schizophrenia hear voices in their head, but I think we all have millions of voices in our heads, from television; radio the media and the people around us, for example we all love the Simpsons. Homer Simpson voice, “Do'h!” Ned Flanders voice “Hi-dily-ho neighboreenos”, and all the other voices from the Simpsons. (Hold it a minute! now clear your head and you can hear them) “The Itchy Scratchy Show” now sing it in your head “The Itchy Scratchy Show” the sound Maggie Simpson makes sucking her dummy, Marilyn Munro's voice “Happy birthday Mr President happy birthday to you”, Elvis Presley's voice “love me tender love me sweet never let me go, Star Trek's captain James T Kirk's voice “these are the voyages of the Star ship Enterprise, to boldly go where no man has gone before”, Mr Spock's voice” that's illogical captain” the list is endless.

We may be able to stop watching television, but we are surrounded by people who we come into contact with every day, who watch television every day.

After I moved all my stuff back home and got settled in, what was then first thing I did? Yes you guessed it I turned on the television and the first thing I saw was the BBC's news reader Maura Stewart the famous wig wearer, reading the television news saying (speed this up) “blah blah blah your all going to die blah blah blah it's going to be soon blah blah blah aren’t you dead yet?”

The funny thing is, Maura Stewart reading the BBC's television news was one of the last things I remember watching on television before moving in with Diane, Maura Stewart was saying exactly the same thing” (don't forget speed it up) blah blah blah your all going to die blah blah blah it's going to be soon blah blah blah aren’t you dead yet?”

So I've had seven months of peace and quiet, and freedom from the media and the outside world. While all this blah blah blahing of doom and gloom has been going on, nothing has changed in the world, everything is exactly the same, there seems to be no difference whatsoever; except everything is now seven months older.

Now I'm getting bored so I decided to phone a friend and say "I’m back in circulation would you like to go for a drink", we agreed to meet up in one of the pubs/bars in town, we get the beers in and take a seat, their are quite a few people in the pub, we're chatting away but it's like being in a room with 20 televisions sets, all on at the same time, tuned to different channels, I said to my friend their and then "it's like being in a room with 20 televisions sets". Blah blah blah here’s the latest news, now here’s the weather report, then the garden tips, re enactments or who got up to what, on and on it went, everyone around me is a television set.

Is it television copying life? or is life copying television? Some people say we are influenced by television, radio, newspapers and magazines. I think we are the sum total of what we see and hear from the corporate controlled media nothing more and nothing less.

Since then I have had two phenomena happen to me in 1998 I have had contact with speaking reptiles and in 2004 I was in contact with Satan
Depending on the feedback I get from this post I will write about the two phenomena and what happened to me though it may take some time.

Brilliant first post rwolf, especially your Simpsons analogy, most people nowdays communicate by catch phrases and really say very little of substance.
Most people also have their opinions given to them, Icke calls them 'repeaters'.

I haven't owned a TV for three years now and I've never looked back.

Thats really interesting to hear about the television stuff. we have been watching tv right from childhood and we are been conditioned thoroughly. i stopped watching t.v and reading news paper for a week and i was at peace and it lets your creativity starts flowing and you feel rejuvenated. every news channel is the same, just one news copied and pasted in other channel, same clips same footage and same story. looking at it over and over again we are made to believe it and heck we want to believe it.

I haven't watched TV for years. Look at your TV guide. What does it say? It says "Viewer Programming". They don't even try to HIDE it! Throw your television away.

ps. yes, we all want to hear about the reptilians!

I stopped watching TV a while ago...

Soon after you stop. You feel lighter. Things are clearer - especially your mind. You feel more alive, more energetic; and you're much more creative. It's like a dam breaking down, and suddenly all this life is flowing!

If I watch TV for more than I few minutes, I can start to feel it in my head - it can actually HURT - it's crazy!

All the parents of all the friends I have - that's all they do. They work, come home to watch TV, then sleep and repeat tomorrow. That is what millions unconsciously (literally) call life. One mom actually has a permanent place set up on her couch where she is 24/7 laying down watching the tube. She seriously leaves an imprint in the sofa - the insanity.

My parents watch it all the time as well. And it's always just mindless crap that couldn't ever possibly matter. Dancing with the stars! Who gives a shit?! Don't get me started on the news ;)

My mother has sleeping problems. She even spent money to have some "specialists" examine her and her body to find out why. I told her to stop watching TV. Still has sleeping problems - hasn't stopped watching TV... coincidence??? And when she gets out of bed because she can't sleep, what does she do? Turn on the TV!! Ahhh!!

Television is indeed the biggest drug problem in America... and England I'll assume as well.

"Imagine if the Japanese had won World War II, taken over America, and introduced an insidious drug which caused the average American to spend six and a half hours a day consuming enemy propaganda. But this is what was done. Not by the Japanese, by ourselves. This is Television. This is the kind of life we're being sold on every level. To watch, to consume, to buy."

Great first post, thank you. On the advice of a friend who's further along the awakening process, I turned off my TV this week, four days now without it, and I'm already feeling so much better.

Turned my tv off years ago, and stopped reading all daily papers (sometimes browse the daily mail at work if somebody has brought a copy as they seem to be rousing middle england and are running some good stories exposing the agenda). And to tell you the truth i've never been better, when i talk to people who are still glued to there box, taken in by the media hype you can almost feel the difference in them compared to you.

As Chuck D once said "DON'T BELIEVE THE HYPE"

Loving this gif, so true, all mainstream media is pure undiluted social conditioning.

In October last year, I moved to Thailand for six months. Whilst out there I didn't own a TV and so had to find other ways to pass the time. I started reading more, which I'd been saying I was going to start doing for years, and was amazed at how many books I would get through in a week. I was reading an average of three of four books a week, which was unheard of for me at the time. I haven't watched television since then and it's unbelievable how much you can get done when you're not passively staring at a box for hours every day. I'm also a lot happier and fulfilled than I ever was before. Any spare time I get now is spent on creative/constructive pursuits, which in my opinion does no end of good in terms of fulfilment...

Funnily enough, it was around the time that I moved to Thailand that I started looking into all of this conspiracy stuff more. If more and more people stopped watching television I can guarantee they'd start realising that everything they've been forcefed is a lie...

Nice quote. I also like how Hicks used to call television 'Lucifer's dreambox'...

I am with everyone on this. I never really watch TV, expect my family members who watch TV every single day. I even use it for movies and games that's about it. Everyday is so similar, people forget yesterday and when you repeat the same questioned your remember from yesterday, they will respond to it, rather than talk back it. It's all polarization to this world, because humans nowadays are being trapped, brain-washed and manipulated by the "Matrix Control System" created by the World's Government. I see girls and women attracted to makeup and clothes on TV and magazine ads. I see men who enjoy many types of media-controlled entertainment. Kids who watch TV everyday becomes corrupted and lost most of their innocence, I see it all the time. In school and the public. Be careful of what women you choose as a girlfriend, if your male. High Maintenance Woman require lots of attention, money, and chat. Medium-Maintenance woman are fine, but you still the need the money. Low-maintenance woman are rare, but what's all this? Social engineering from the public, for the public, from the mainstream media, oh even the New World Order.

TV is a addictive drug, the most used electronics from Americans and made by the Americans. Even around the goddamn world.

Great thread, I agree with everyone here. My family are big tv watchers and I used to watch alot of tv with them. The news, I remember back when I was 16, way before I've read anything about the conspiracy, I watched the news with my dad, remember finding the 9/11 very shocking and also feeling of something strange, this increased as they started finding someone to blame, first it was osama, I thought well maybe, but strange how the us superpower wasn't able to stop a terrorist act like that, as well when they started looking for him, thinking they were taking the piss, off course they could find him if they really wanted, then suddenly it went on to blaming Irak, and suddenly it was about WMD and Irak! Remember watching the Un trying to find WMD and not finding it, telling bush&co that they couldn't find it but Bush&co still "knew" Irak had WMD, this is when I told my dada "Don't you think this is abit strange? And out of line, this means they could out any country and attack it, they could suddenly say "Norway has got weapons of mass destruction" and then attack, this is wrong, going to war for this" He just replied "Oh well Lene don't be stupid, they've got the CIA, of course they know that he's got WMD", he's never admitted I was right and he was wrong about that since, old mans pride. There was just something in me that wouldn't buy any reason for war very easily, as I hate war. Well now, after writing this I really can also see that the theory of 9/11 being created to be exposed is probably true, the blatancy of the manipulation.

Really sorry if I went abit off topic here.
I don't watch tv now, and yes, creativity increases so much, we are creative beings :)

P.s. Would love to hear about the reptiles :)
