Hi everyone. This is my first post, but I have been reading the forum for some time now. Anyway, I wanted to talk about Therese Neumann. David talks about this woman in the "Tales from the time loop" and how she manage to not eat for 35 years without ever getting sick of loosing weith. I would like myself to not eat forerver too, with all the toxins they put on our food this days. How can you program yourself for doing this? have anyone beside her done it?

Sounds quite good although I thoroughly enjoy food even with all the theories of contamination.
It would be difficult to obtain any sun-related energy in the UK as the sun is an alien concept to us (joking! :))

I haven't researched this but I'm a fan of parapsychology and our bodies only exist to feed our brain and we need to feed it with oxygen, food and water. If she stopped food and water, she must have stopped breathing too?

Since the point of breathing is to push the nutrients from water and food around the body, if she hasn't got any - she wouldn't need to breath? If she doesn't need to breath, I'd believe it, if she still is breathing then I think it's a load of crap :p

It's bullshit, sadly. And quite dangerous.

Therese Neumann admitted that she nibbled on crackers and biscuits from time to time. She had barely any strength to lift herself up stairs etc..

Here is an article about more recent events you may be interested in.

Bullshit you said... I do not think so, man. some, who are advanced in meditation can stay in that state for weeks if not longer. I belive you can stop
eating if you are spiritually prepared and got proper mental background.
I have quite short experience with "not-eating". I could easily stand seven days,
withouth food - but I drank water. I didn't make any preparations before it, which was rather stupid, on that time there was no internet and literature on
this subject in Poland.
The first two days you feel like shit, You sweat and smell like shit - that simply
means your body releases all toxins accumulated within the body for years.
The third day you may stop experiencing hunger. You should start meditate
at this point, visualize divine, cosmic energy pouring your body. Actually this
is the main concept to stop eating and use prana which is the endless source
of higher energetically food instead.

I stopped this after seven days not because I was weakened and couldn't get up of my bed - I simpy got scared that I felt so good...! ;]
and it was just experiment

All the leaders of these cults have been exposed as frauds. Show me real evidence that anyone has gone without food for as long as you claim.

Doesn't that tell you something. Your body was dying of malnourishment. Try it for twenty days next time. I'll send flowers. :D

You didn't read carefully, mate!

Actually I felt fine and vigorous - I am your "evidence" as You wish :D

Honestly, adimon, tell me what You know about this subject?
I do not know much either, Im on the very begining of my path, I seek for
knowlege as You do I belive.
So dont't tell me that some enigmaitc leaders of some enigmatic cults had
been exposed. Im not saing anything about leaders and cults, mate.
You dont know it, I dont know it!

What I wish to discover is what is me, what is matter, what are our reality,
but supressed skills and "powers". That gave me strengh to start this experiment....nothing else.
I guess I was wegetarian on that time so maybe that was a reason I didnt
suffer any side-effect connected with toxin's release.
I ask You to try first before You smack this topic again :D
Seven days, adimon! Seven days withouth Your favourite snikes & bites:D

If you don't eat, your brain will not have a source of glucose. As a "safety measure" you'll pass out and your body will shift into catabolic mode and eat it's own muscle for glucose. Soon after, death will occur, as even the heart won't have fuel to keep beating. If you can somehow really bypass all this with something we would now consider as supernatural than you'd be the biggest badass on earth. :p

OK well I misread one of your lines. Apologies. Could you have run five miles in the condition you were in?

I knew a guy who fell for the Breatharian lark and didn't eat for nearly two weeks. His hair started falling out. I'm not going to go on about it, except to say that those who have advocated this practise, and publicised it's use, are charlatans, and they care not if you die or not. I would rather you stayed alive and healthy, even though I don't know you. If you choose not to eat food though you deserve whatever happens to you.

I ask You to try first before You smack this topic again :D

No thanks. I'm in peak condition. I run marathons and feel great. Don't want to cause myself to get ill for no reason. That's self-abuse IMO.

It's what conventional science knows about it.
But what about Prana, [Ch'i, Baraka, Mana, Ki, etc]?
food=energy?
I belive food may be not the only source of energy which keeps as alive, that's it.

"Soon after death will occur"!! You made me laugh this morning, megafish!
Thank You! English sometimes sounds so funny to me! :D

So why not prove conventional science wrong? Make a documentary. Station the camera in the room, meditate, don't eat, and make history.

I'm surprised no-one's done it already :D

Not.

I can't tell. I never run more than 10 miles. Im also afraid that average, healthy man couldn't do it without some preparation...
When You are on starvation diet - forsing exercises are not recommended.

I knew a guy who fell for the Breatharian lark and didn't eat for nearly two weeks. His hair started falling out. I'm not going to go on about it, except to say that those who have advocated this practise, and publicised it's use, are charlatans, and they care not if you die or not. I read some book on starvation diet some time ago. The main concept of it
is to cleanse the body from toxins, drugs, chemicals we collect within.
So in this context short period of starvation is nothing bad for us.
There are some rules to keep, though and drinking water is one of the
most important. You didn't say if this guy drank anything and what was his
health condition before he started it.
Starvation diets are known for thousand years and You find it in any ancient
culture and they might be a better remedium for some diseases than drugs,
which simply ruin our body self-deffence systems.
I say again - I don't wanna sound like persuading anybody to it.
I just don't belive that few days of starvation can really harm anyone.
Some sources say, that even one day a week without food [which make
about 50 days a year] can bring great health benefits for our poluted bodies.

No thanks. I'm in peak condition. I run marathons and feel great.

My respect. :)

Up to now, there's been no mention of looking at this practise as fasting or starvation dieting. I still wouldn't advocate it but I understand how some view it as purifying.

The OP however is based on the idea that humans can live long-term without nutrition, which is simply not true.
