There are two ways of comparing natal charts between couples:
1) Synastry. Planets from each chart are compared with each other to see how good/bad each planet position is
2) Composite. You look at the middle points of each planet of the two things, creating a separate natal chart which acts as a natal chart of the relationship (both charts combined)

I think you mean Sun Libra and Sun Capricorn. Astrologers using the Sun to describe your personality are misleading you as to what personality is in astrology. You look at your ASCENDANT for your personality. Look it up!

The Sun in a natal chart is important as Mercury and Venus will not be too far behind. As these three are close to each other, comparing ALL the planets in synastry is easier to give a general theme of compatibility.
Libra and Capricorn are 3 signs from each other, in square aspect. Libra has it easier here, and the general theme is good.

Indeed, Moon, Venus, Mars and Mercury are very important, also Saturn is also overlooked, good aspects to Saturn can indicate a good long term relationship.

If a Libra had their Venus in Scorpio or Virgo for example, that would increase their compatibility with a Cappy, that Cappy might also have their Venus in Saggitarius or Aquarius, in which case happy days!

Nothing wrong with Libra and Cap if you ask me, loads of people I know have incompatible sun signs, it's nothing to worry about ;)

I'm still learning about astrology, but I am a libra with ascendant leo and went out with a capricorn sun sign and all i can say is ermmm.. dont. heh, but then again you would need to know the natal chart and ascendent sign of the sun sign capricorn.

You're right.

As a Cap (Venus in Scorpio :eek::D look out!!) though, while I do love Librans, I feel for the Libran in that relationship. We Caps are serious bastards. My first response is - don't do it!! But as you say, there are many other factors involved.

Yes, Librans, the less said about them the better he he. My parents are both Librans, they do my head in!

I just stay right away from Scorpios, I have had a couple of relationships with those folk and frankly I think the men at least are vindictive, cruel and controlling!

One of my best mates is a Cap, they are great!

I am a Pisces and I live with a Gemini dude, meant to be a match made in hell, as far as I'm concerned I have kissed a lot of frogs and he is my prince :)

I like Geminis a lot in general and don't find them shallow as a lot of books describe, a lot of them are very intelligent, funny and deeply spiritual people.

This is BAD astrology 101. I guess you learned from one of these sites and/or some of the 'respected' astrologers out there. Who assesses them? No-one.

You view astrology from a PLANET point of view. You need to start and stop at looking at astrology from a HOUSE point of view.

For relationships, you look at house 7. Venus is ruler of Libra, and also tied with HOUSE 7.

For me, I decided to test the sports arena. As written before, I have done that and come up with results - so, it works. Therefore this way of doing astrology (for the sports) should mean that normal astrology is done following the same logical pattern. Same rules.

Lots know that Ascendant is personality, nothing to do with the sun. Yet, the ones who know this still write horoscopes, and pretend that astrology is actually done that way.
