Absurd cant believe this news however here it is for any interested!.

Ms Gillard told the troops in Tarin Kowt on October 3: "We've lost too many lives in terrorist attacks and what you are doing is making sure that this place does not continue to be part of that cycle of terror that has taken the lives of so many Australians"

Apprently Australian forces are simply to stay in afghanistan due to the fact that Australians died in the Bali bombings or troops have died in the course of their duties, oh right so i suppose they must stay even longer so that even more Aussies must die duh clear as mud Mzz Gillard.

Abbott never specifically agreed with Molan's contention that the ADF could and should deploy a whole battlegroup to Afghanistan. But he was sympathetic to the idea that the ADF should take up the slack in its area of operations when the Dutch military left Uruzgan Province.
Such a commitment would probably entail sending another 1500 personnel, along with assets such as helicopters and artillery (a battlegroup would number near 4000-5000, depending on how it was composed). Now that the election is upon us, however, the Opposition Leader has converged with the PM to agree with her that our commitment is ''just about right''.

and wolla

Not much choice on the other side either seems Aussies tired of our non existent democracy are going to have to stop being apathetic & demand more from our pollies e.g. like boycoting the elections altogether as i will being doing in future, thus subjecting the perk ridden arrogant fed pollies to years of minority govs due to the facts of those that simply wont vote in fed elections at all!.

Australians seem in general content with the knowledge that we are a lot better off than many other places. Which means essentially, that it's ok to wade waist deep in shit and you don't worry about it unless you are up to your neck in it.

I was the guest speaker at a community group a couple of months ago and I spoke about the illusion of freedom and gave a few front-gate examples to ram home the truth. The thing that got them most in the heart was when I said 'You aren't free if you can't drive to Melbourne to watch the football GF without having your car photographed, so you are rego, checked, licence checked, checked for outstanding warrants or to see if you are on a terrorist list. Then I told them that under the money laundering Act your bank automatically notifies a raft of Government Departments and Crown Corporations whenever you make a large or unusual transaction. Most of these people are very wealthy retired and had successful careers and they also love their footy. You could have heard a pin drop in that room. Nobody had stopped to think about it before that. At the end I got a standing ovation. I have been invited back next year and I will speak about the Cashless Economy.

Nice!

Next time you should make a video of it and post it on here, would be cool to watch.
