So I'm new to all of this and I'm trying to grasp the concept. I know I'm going to be repeating some stuff already on this forum. But I'm going to put it into terms that I understand (at this point in my quest for my truth) to see if I'm getting it....
So the 'real' world is really just like Sims or World of Warcraft. People create characters/avatars and do things with them (play, work, eat, etc). You go on missions/work to gain more 'money' to buy new weapons/furniture. When your health bar is low, you have to do something to regain your health. When your avatar/sim is angry or bored you need to find an activity to make them happy.
There are other users who sign up and you can play with or against each other on missions/adventures, etc. You are able to interact with the other players. Then there are characters that are part of the game. They just wander around and say seemingly random things. They don't participate with others, they are just there. They appear to be a real character, but they are just part of the created game.
What I'm trying to get at is, if we are 'living' in the Matrix, where are the characters/avatars that are built into the system? I've read of people finding glitches in the system. How? If 'life' is just like a video game, shouldn't I (in theory) be able to maybe find a character on repeat. One that just wanders around really not doing anything, but when you go by quickly they seem to be just another player? How can you tell the difference between someone who is a character playing the game and one that is the game?
So basically life is the Sims? Is that pretty much how the Matrix is?
Forgive me for repeating topics that have already been discussed and for my lack of understanding, I'm working on it. And I don't play either game, so that explains my lack of correct terminology.
