Ok, i have candida overgrowth, it has took some time to properly diagnose my symptoms because there are quite a few, but since candida causes so many symptoms a natural fit was found, especially since i used anti-biotics for 9 years for acne (i haven't used anti-biotics for 2 years). I have been using naturopharma products, the digeztizymes didn't do much for me, but the biomax and naturo balance has helped, especially the biomax after just one tablet, but i want to give this candida a real run for its money, so i came accross some research on threelac on the internet, the research suggests that bacteria in this manufactured product munch up candida efficiently for food, which sounds good, along with the naturo products, can this product work efficently in a combination? Do you know much about threelac and the results it produces? I have found pro's and con's, many people saying good things about threelac, and government studies saying bad things, which makes me think this product is probably quite good at killing candida.

A bit of background information on some symptoms i am experiencing, the overgrowth of candida appears to be in the small intestines due to a ridiculous amount of excess gas, which sometimes i do not even notice is coming from me, candida has also spread to the skin giving my face a yellowish tinge albeit not that noticable (i do not have iron defiency for the record, i had a blood test which showed high levels of iron - although slightly low on white blood cells), this information means the candida must have presumably spread to the blood aswell. So does naturopharma and threelac wipe out candida in blood and skin aswell? I really need some expert answers, so hoping for a response from mike. :)

Threelac and Fivelac are ok, but to really give candida a good kicking, get Flucanazole. You also need to get on a daily pro-biotic. All that anti-biotic treatment has made your gut imbalanced by the sounds of things.

I have used flucanazole for a localised issue a couple of years ago, worked then, then tried it for the current overgrowth about 4 months ago and didn't do anything noticeable, because you see, as i later found out, candida mutate when drugs are used to stop the treatment working, which is why that is definitely not the route i am going at the moment. Thanks for the reply mind. :)

Nyastatin is good too, specific to the gut. Have you tried that? Need to be on it a while though. Flucanazole can be used for more than a single course, and is very effective for long term candida.

Thanks for the advice, but i am going to steer clear of big pharma drugs for the reason i gave above. :)

After having had overgrowth of this enough to cause haemorrhage and ulceration to whole of digestive tract for which hospitalization for a month i had to have Losec to heal my gut and then for two years Nystatin powder but each time i came off iot my sore throats would erupt and i didn't know at the time it's action is akin to antibiotics so you need to go to a Practitoner maybe even Colonic irrigations as they give you probiotics at Practitioner strength...i use Solgars multi acidophilus powder which is tasteless and dissolved in water i found this to be best...but Magnascent Iodine too is good mineral that would control it we need candida but only in it's bud form in the inestines as it gobbles up bacterias when we are healthy but when our system is compromised it becomes and dangerous parasite....i've used Colloidal Paracleanse to from HarmonikIreland dot com. Also a very strict Anti Candida diet is essential. I personally didn't think much to Threelac but each to his own. Bicarbonate Soda and Aspalls Organic Cyder Vinegar is good for alkalising a small tspn each in water can be used each two hours for cold etc. A test for Candida overgrowth is spit sputum into a glass of water first thing on waking and if it floats and is cloudy stringy it is said to be it.

I know Threelac is a highly regarded product and many people use it with apparent success. We tried Threelac quite a while ago at the clinic with little success in the time frame patients were taking it, or so they told us. However, maybe this should be taken up with those more knowledgeable in the use of Threelac than us. We went on to develop the Naturopharma Range for our own clinical use.
One thing we do know is that some of the most profound people in research have recently told us that naturopharma products noticeably increase the efficacy of their treatments, and have approached us regarding their desire to distribute our products worldwide.
Researchers from the Far East are also wanting to distribute our products. I only mention this to highlight that in clinical trials naturopharma products seem to stand up (and of course some others may do too, for all we know, but we have been informed that naturopharma does).

As the Mucosa Lining of the intestinal tract is the body's largest immune system organ, it stands to reason that it is so important to get this functioning properly.

Digestizymes are important as are every more important using Balance and BioMax (we have been informed by researchers that just ONE of our BioMax capsules is approx. equal to 40 Probiotic Yoghurts !!!)
You mention a yellow tinge to you skin, were your liver markers all in range in the blood test?
I am sure you are aware that there are other factors involved in candida overgrowth problems. This sometimes needs looking at from an individuals point of view, and often other steps have to be taken.
For example, all fruits veg, nuts raisins etc are soaked in our house prior to anyone eating them. Remember we are breathing candia in all day in crowded places, and it is airbourne. The possibilities of it getting into the body it appears are almost endless. But it can be beaten.
If you want to deal with this off forum, please send your results to shen@post.com, and I'l get back to you.

No worries. Please be aware though that candida will do the same mutation whether it comes from a big pharma drug or a natural remedy. It is basically mutating to stop itself being killed.

I do think the colonic irrigation option sounds like good advice, but you must put back pro-biotics. Best of luck.:D
