I don't think it is that special. What's the mechanism for generating random numbers? I guess you'll find the explanation of the anomalies there.

That, plus I'd have to see how the analysis of the output is performed. It looks like someone is clicking manually on selected nodes. You'd have to dump the entire dataset into a statistical analysis routine - such things are routinely done to test encryption output - to find out if there are truely patterns within the data. Double blind testing eliminates human interference - the person examining this data would do so without knowing the date the data was generated.
Human beings are excellent at finding patterns in high-noise data - game trails in jungles are a low signal to noise, but there's a signal there. Constellations of stars, on the other hand, fabricate a "signal" in a dataset of pure random noise.
