Is there a way to browse the internet without people being able to detect which sites you've been on?

I know about anonymous proxy servers but are there any Firefox add-ons or anything that will do the job?

That sounds risky. How do I know that the Xb-browser doesn't snoop for passwords, credit card information etc?

How do you know it does? Research other users opinions. Using computers is known 'risky'. There are people who are more specialised in any area of interest. Seek out their advice.

I wouldn't trust any expert. The Internet is crawling with money-phishing trolls. Don't you know that some trolls are very clever and can easily make the impression of being experts?

Yes, I stay well clear of Apples. I'm convinced they are bananas!

What I am trying to say is that people can be really screwed by downloadable software offering 'protection'. It's a classic trick to exploit people's need for increased security and privacy.
