On the left side of my jaw under my chin, it feels like my lymph gland is swollen. Inside my mouth on the same side, under my tongue where it connects to the bottom of my mouth, also has a small lump (same colour as my tongue). I currently have a cold so do you think it could be to do with that? It also seems to swell up more after i've eaten something.

This could be a gland (Saliva). Does this happen more if you eat salty or savoury foods? You may have a blocked gland (calcium stone), but without seeing it it is hard to say.
Why don't you get a healthcare practitioner to look at it, and then it can be treated, if necessary.
